I have been seeing Dr. Syn for 5 years. I have been extremely impressed with her, having seen multiple other chiropractors over the year who were set in their ways. Dr. Syn is current in many forms of chiropractic care, including those which do not include manual manipulation. My body type, following multiple automobile accidents, does not do well with manual manipulation, and Dr. Syn has multiple other tools which do the job without throwing my body back into pain which occurs after manual care. Many doctors don't know how to care for someone unless you agree to some manual manipulation - which is fine for most people. Having a doctor who is knowledgeable and understanding of your desires and works with that is by far better than anyone who tries to force care upon you in the manner they want even if it does not work for you. If you have that ache anywhere which has been bothering you, I highly recommend Dr. Syn.
PROS: Knowledeable of current medical and chiropractic practices.
CONS: In South Redondo, which is not close to a freeway.
My mom's truck was leaving oil all over and I took the truck into this repair place she had been in the past. I was impressed by the professionalism and timeliness of thier diagnosis of the problem. I ended up having to leave the truck, but they quickly gave me a ride back to where I was staying and will pick me up tomorrow after the truck is fixed. I think Sam is the owner of the repair shop and he was extremely nice and helpful.
I was vising my mom and was in dire need of a hair cut, so visited her sylist. The entire location was run very well, clean and everyone was very helpful. Michelle cut my hair and for $30 including tip, I got a hair cut which would likely have cost twice that in the LA area. If you ever end up in Boise, ID and need a hair cut, I highly recommend Michelle.
I have only been here once so far, but am going back tomorrow with a friend because I enjoyed it so much. My waiter was excellent and personable. The food was authentic and better than I have had in a very long time. To top it all off, the margarita's were tasty and if I hadn't had to get myself home, I would have stayed a lot longer and had a few more. The atmosphere is great! There is a patio with two levels. One is kind of like a balcony and the other is below with tall trees reaching up to the balcony. It makes you feel as though you are somewhere else and not in the crowded LA area.
I must say, for the most part the professors at LMU are excellent, especially in the MBA school. I am currently in a Masters in Systems Engineering program which is new and they still need to work out a few kinks, but the program has a ton of potential. The Mechanical Engineering Director, Dr. Oppenheim is excellent. If you take classes at LMU, try to take him. He teaches Mechanical Engineering, Quality and Lean courses. The MBA office is extremely knowledgeable and helpful to get you into the rightcourses where you will truly take something away and apply it immediatly to the corporate jungle.
When I lived in RB, this was where my friends and I would go every Friday for dinner. The service is excellent, the food is wonderful and the people are overall extremely helpful. Whenever a friend from out of town would visit, I would make sure they went to RBBC at least once during thier trip. The patio area upstairs is great for watching the sunset near the beach, which is only 2 blocks away. The atmosphere is great and I still go there whenever I have a chance.
I purchased a Saturn at another location in 2000 and then moved to the LA area. I had purchased the 40k service package where I got all my services pre-paid, so I was hooked into going to a Saturn dealer for service. I have had a ton of problems with my Saturn. Within the first 8k miles, I had to replace the clutch manifold, and I started getting 17mpg. I kept taking the car back in for them to fix the problem (since the sticker stated I would get 32 city and 37 hwy). Each time I had a different service tech, but they all told me the same line which I am sure people who don't know anything about cars would believe, but is completely irrelevant - "the more miles you put on your car in a month, the better gas mileage you will get". That concept stillescapes me. They couldn't aswer my follow on comment of "since I am driving approx. 3500 miles/mo, whould I be getting really good mileage under that logic". They were stumped. That is just the start of the story with this dealer. My car has also had
I have used U-Haul many times in the past, but working with this one made me cringe and I have not gone back. I had a similar problem as one of the other reviewers, I made a reservation for a certain sized truck and when I arrived, they did not have it. They ended up offering me the truck two sizes up for the same price - the size truck you would normally see moving people across country and I was moving 6 miles. This thing was mammoth and it took two people to guide me when I was pulling out of the lot (which is tiny) so I would not hit any other vehicles - I drove a full size van most of my life without a problem, so that puts things into perspective of how unmanageable the truck was. The service was poor. When I asked about packing materials, the individual at the desk just waived thier hand towards the area behind me as though "look around, this is what we have". I will not return to this U-Haul.
