Gary's Auto Svc
I am new to the area and read the review below on Gary's Auto Service and decided to give them a call. Gary was very nice a friendly. I just need a wire repaired but he was very thorough when inspecting my car to see what the problem was. He also seemed to know what he was talking about with out talking down to me or trying to confuse me. I feel like this happens to me allot, like they are trying to complicate the situation so that that they can charge you more money. Gary did not do this at all. He called me with an estimate when she said he would. When I went to pick up my car the total was less than the estimate! How is that for an honest auto mechanic?! I would highly recommend taking your car here. Now that I feel that I can trust him with the little things on my car I would feel very comfortable taking my car here if I ever need major repairs.
Union Cattle Company
I really enjoy meeting friend here after work for happy hour. Their appetizers also go on special and they are really good. It is a nice atmosphere with some couches and tvs in the back. On the weekends it can get kind of crowded and loud though. I guess that is a good thing if your into it.
Kitchen Italian Cafe/pizzeria
The kitchen is my favorite place to eat lunch in Old Town. They have great lunch specials and really good pizza. All their pasta dishes are tasty as well. I also really enjoy the house salad. The lettuce is always fresh and they make their own vinaigrette.
Whiskey A Go Go
This is pretty much what you would expect from any Hollywood venue. There is a stage in one corner and a bar in the other. They also have an upstairs area with just a few tables and a second bar. They do not water down their a Parking of course really sucks because it is on Sunset. The bouncer at the door is really scary though.
Cityview Car Wash & Oil Change
I always go here to get my oil changed and my car washed. You get a fee wash whenever you take your car to their little lube shop. The great thing is that you can sit in your car while they are working on your car. I have always found them to very knowledgeable and honest about what I needed to have done. The guys that were there are very friendly.
King Tut
Most people dont know about this local gem. It is an Egyptian restaurant that is one on the best places to eat in town. Anyone I have taken there has become a regular. It is really similar to meditation food. The owner, Mohamed, is usually there during the week days. He is so nice and knows that I always order the chicken scharma.
Pour House
The Pour House is a fun place to hang out and have a beer down town. It is not usually as crowded as some of the other bars. They also have a pool table which the guys seem to like.
Angelina
Angeluna is right across the street from the Bass Hall, they have a lot of windows where you can look out at its exterior. The interior of the restaurant is also really cool. They have an awesome menu. Everything I have tried has been delicious. This is a great place to bring a date. I often come here just for coffee and dessert. They have the best desserts!
Fort Worth's Chop House
The Chop House came highly recommended to me as one of the top steak houses in Fort Worth. It was a really nice restaurant that was very quant. It was not crowded in there and the wait staff was top notch. It is a romantic place to take someone on a special occasion and treat them to some of the best food in town. It can be a bit pricy but you will get a very high quality meal.
Mimi's Cafe
This is a great place to come for a light but filling meal. I highly recommend their breakfasts which they serve all day. It is supposed to be kink of a French country place. I also really like their quiches and salads. Most of their meals also come with one of their giant muffins. They are always fresh, my favorite one is the buttermilk.
