Premier did a very good job expeditiously getting me interviews for permanent positions, but not a very good job getting me temp work in the meantime. Also, the interviews that they sent me on had more to do with what positions they needed to fill thanwith what I was looking for. The staff was nice enough, probably all ex-sorority girls, not that that's a bad thing.
This is a fairly fancy-schmancy salon (they literally offer $20 eyebrow waxing) just off Union Square. I've only been to Katie Somera (followed her there from her previous salon because she's so good). She does a great job with both cut (I've experimented with various short 'dos) and highlights. Apparently she teaches classes there to some of the new stylists. As long as you go in with some idea and description of what you want, she can generally run with it and will make sure that it suits your facial structure and hair-type. She's also fun to talk to!
Dr. Reese is a good guy; I even saw him on MTV's "Urban Legends" discussing the myth that fake-and-baking prevents skin cancer. I was referred to him by a friend and the office is conveniently located near Union Square. He is friendly, thorough and professional. It is however, a big operation and can be tough to get a convenient appointment time, so plan ahead.
If you are in a bind and need a good car quickly, go to this guy. He got me a used Honda that fit perfectly within my price range within a week. He even had it delivered to me & now, after two years and 50,000 miles, it still runs great. Pro's are that he will get you a solid, reliable car in a short period of time and he's a trustworthy businessman. Con's are that he only gave me one car to look at.
Dr. Thickett was recommended to me by a friend when, literally, my tooth fell out & my current dentist was on vacation! The staff is super-friendly and the office is flexible, working around your schedule. Dr. Thickett is extremely thorough and has a great "bedside manner". He takes the time to explain to you what's going on with your teeth and your options. For me the only con is that the location is a bit out of the way (in the sunset), however parking is easy to find.
