David is great, honest guy who wont talk you up on stuff you dont need. He will recommend things to get done but wont ever pressure you if you don't want to. He knows his ways around BMW's and Mercedes and is not a hack.

Afj Discount Tire & Muffler

I went to them to get a catalytic converter replaced and asked for a quote. Immediately they put my car on the lift and after waiting for 20 mintues they told me 200 dollars (ON SALE!... i think everything is always on sale there). I had been to other places that charged me only 120 dollars and are BMW specific. so I told him no thanks, please lower my car. He was hesitant and kept bargaining. After about a half hour of me telling him no no no, he said he would do it for 120 dollars. Because I was referred to them I gave them the benefit of the doubt and it was already on the lift. Bad decision, it took them almost 4 hours to get the thing together and didnt know what they were doing. Needless to say I have to go back to the original place I normally had gone for them to fix the mistakes. While I was waiting, I had the pleasure of witnessing 3 other disgruntled customers complaining about stuff with him. Dont go here if you want anything exhaust related. If you want tire service, head over to American Tire Depot on Colorado Blvd. in eagle rock. MUCH MUCH better service and honest guys.

Tokyo Wako Restaurant

Came here while waiting for a movie, and it was not pleasant. The space looks big but the layout is poor and just looks like your in a hotel lobby with a sushi bar. The prices are expensive and the food was so so. The sushi was horrible, ordered Sushi Tuna and the Tuna was RED, and not a good red. Tasted fishy and i couldnt finish for fear of food poisoning. The soup was okay, but for the price i could have gone to any of my 3 favorite sushi places and had more quality and better food.... Next time ill walk over to the express chinese place... Dont think they will stay long if thats how the food is going to continue.

PROS: short wait, can watch chefs cook if seated in the right area.
CONS: bad food, high prices compared to better sushi places

Mia Sushi

Who would have thought this place would be so good. Its the only place of its kind within 15 miles, and the sushi is great. Its interesting that they have great varieties. Some new things i havent seen before with chic names pertaining to eagle rock and mt.washington.. such as the mt.washington roll.. SO GOOD! They are usually busy, kind of odd for being in such a weird location, but that just goes to show how good the food is. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant so you have to park on either of the side streets or valet the car. Great vibe and the place looks top notch. Make reservations though! Its not super pricey either, its about mid range as far as that goes, ive paid much more for less quality at other places.

Posh On Pico

Wow, talk about a good hamburger. Very eclectic scene here. Argentine owner knows the food, and offers very tasty dishes. The meat in the hamburger tastes fresh and hand ground. Great tasting herbs and spices. Not your traditional burger and fries, they serve their burgers with greens. Good drinks. A tad pricey but you wont taste another burger nearly as good.

Rocco's Italian Kitchen

Great food. Pizza is delicious. Huge slices and not overloaded with cheese, just the right amount. Their pastas are spectacular too. Great food for the price, beware during lunch, it gets packed.

Mezbaan Indian Cuisine

Great food, have eaten there many times. Portions are good and the price isn't too bad compared to some places on colorado. However on V-Day they rushed us out because they were closing, other than that its been spectacular.

American Tire Depot

I have been going to these guys for quite some time. Their prices arent bad, but their service far outweighs that of any shop i've been to. They are more than happy to work with you and always are courteous.

Pros - Fast and quick, service is outstanding, owner is a car enthusiast, treats all his customers with respect.

Cons - Some of the more specialized tires i have needed were not available from them, however they accomodated me even though i got the tires from elsewhere.

My whole family goes to this place and will continue to do so.

Ravissant Hair Salons

Cool place, good location. Celine cut my hair, very friendly and talkative. Didnt pressure me or rush me and was willing to work hard to make sure i liked the cut.
