I kicked and screamed, but my parents were insistent-- I was to attend the all-girls school... now, looking back at age 35, am VERY glad my parents knew what they were doing. From my class-- 1/3 went to Ivy League schools, a majority of us started college with so many advanced placement credits that we started as 1st semester sophomores....and the confidence, focused motivation, leadership and prioritization skills - have been an invaluable asset to me... Yes, boys were around on weekends from Crespi and we had all the regular social activities-- but the boys were not a distraction-- there's a difference. If I have a daughter, she will also go to an all-girl school... she'll probably kick and scream like I did-- but she'll also probably thank me too!

Pure Beauty
Kim Kay is awesome! She's extremely talented when it comes to blondes and blending hair shades, weaves....my hair and coloring had become dull, and she changed the shades from that of my previous hair dresser-- with an amazing effect! Fun, personable and reasonably priced too...

Jace Medical Group
If you're looking for a medical practice that combines eastern, natural and modern medicine-- its with Dr. Jace. His group specializes in metabolism, weight loss, and a bunch of disorders... and they have evening hour appointments since they tend to cater to the hollywood crowd. Accepts insurance too!

Helen Grace Chocolates
Remember when in Catholic school we were all required to sell those cases of chocolate fudge easter eggs by Helen Grace? Wanting to bring a little nostalgia to my family's Easter celebration..... I started hunting... not many kids going door to door these days (totally understandable)... so I found the helen grace store-- THE best chocolate..... better than Sees, a less expensive alternative to Godiva :)

I was on a hunt to find my absolute favorite line of semi permanent make up (Styli-Style)-- and I could not find ti anywhere in the South Bay area except GBSC....they have an awesome selection of unusal finds, not your typical beauty supply store...

Have been very impressed with Dr. Matsuuura's GP medical practice and office staff. HE's friendly, knowledgable, and thorough in his examinations. Appreciate how he took the time to talk with me about my concerns, medical options. Very clean office, also very busy.

What a fun find! Its a hole in the wall kind of place-- I drove by it the first time I went there as its pretty non descript-- but you get inside and they have a large selection of plaster and cone fired ceramics, supplies, and glazing/firing services available on site. Staff is knowledgable and will hunt down peices that you're looking for, and the have an educational newsletter they mail out via email....good website too!

All USA Moving
Why do these guys even have a CA PUC license? They broke my antique table in a move 7 MONTHS ago and after many "promises" to compensate me for the repair as the move was supposedly insured - they finally submitted my claim to their insurance company ONLY after I filed a report with the Public Utilities Commission (who grants licenses to moving companies in CA and requires insurance/compensation to be made no more than 60 days after filing with the company).... and to date, I STILL have not received compensation and the PUC is going after them, their license... never use them. If they did this to me, I can only imagine how many others out there have been scammed by them.....

Shopping for a storage facility that was secure, accessible and not going to cost me a fortune-- and a friend recommmended All Aboard. A great find! helpful and friendly staff always on site, gated, security, alarm system, reasonably priced, and allows for payment to be made by monthly automatic credit card charges...

Barn Furniture Mart
Took a buddy of mine to the Red Barn when he was looking for additional living room pieces to add to his expensive Ethan Allen mission style furniture that he spent a fortune on.... he was absolutely shocked. Not only did the barn match his Ethan Allen missions style, but they matched the stain as well--- you'd be hard pressed to figure out which pieces he paid a fortune for and bought ata fraction of the cost from the barn. Great solid wood, quality, many styles, low prices, many custom options available, delivery service.
