I finally checked out this swap meet hoping to find some nice treasures (one mans junk....). It was not at all what I was hoping for. No used, vintage, or collectibles. It was all new junk! Tons of dollar store toys, socks.... everything was the same. You can find it in the garmet district or Tijuana. If thats what you are looking for great, but don't expect to find anything else.
I always love finding great name brands for low prices. I am not sure if this is happening at all Marshalls, but La Mirada has a huge clearance section in the back now! Shoes in one section, plates, accessories, and housewares all NEATLY laid out.
I recently was looking for a hard to find book. I went on Borders.com and had my nearby Borders reserve it for me. Within a day that had my order ready for me! The La Habra Borders is decent size, less crowded than most!
This is the best local Target because it is a great land! It has everything. Target is my favorite store because it has something for every room and affordable prices. Everything is getting better and better here- especially clothes!
Nothing different about this bath and body works, but that is pretty standard. I do love the location on Birch St, nice fun atmosphere. The ladies who were working were both young, but friendly. If you haven't been to Bath and Body works you are missing out. Quality lotions, for great prices. Tip: Wait for a sale! Never buy full price because next week it will be half off!
Barnes and Noble is my favorite place to get a coffee and do some homework. This location is the best. If you need to stop by and get a book, this is the place to come because it is surronded by all the other stores I like shopping at (Old Navy, Target, Pier 1.....not to mention the food place Jamba Juice, Panda Express....). I've never had a problem with the service, if they don't have the book I need, they order it for me. Great bargain books. Fun place to go and skim through the "fun" books.
Borders has cheap books, wide variety and current titles. Helpful staff and workers who know their way around. I like going here to shop for books. Also a great place to study if you don't like the super quiet of a library but still a little subdued. I've also found cheap cds here (only when they are on sale).
I prefer Barnes and Noble because of the Starbucks, but Borders is a close runner up.
The only thing certain in life is that Big 5 will always have tennis shoes on sale. Every week a new bath is just $20. Go here for athletic shoes!
There is also all the equipment you would need for any sport. I don't recommend shopping here for watersports though. They don't carry the best stuff in watersports.
Great place for baseball shirts and other gear though.
I can find anything I need for any craft at Michaels. Plus it is the cheapest I have found!
The only thing that I don't particularly like is the help. It seems like I can never find someone who can answer my questions. So go in there knowing what you want, not to find answers.
Don't forget to look in the sunday paper for the weekly ad that always has a 40% off coupon for one item. Worth it!
If you are looking for inexpensive, quality counseling, this is the place to come! They are friendly, well trained, and have a variety of counselors who specialize in different things.
Students of Biola receive a tremendous discount, but even without the discount the prices are much cheaper than any other So. Cal counseling agency.
I like their Christian basis. Give them a try.
