Twice Sold Tales
A book store that's open late, doesn't mind if you bring in your coffee and has kitties sleeping about?!? It's like a little taste of the old country. They have rare and classic finds, the old standards and the interesting treasure like some pulp fiction or old romance novels. The prices are very reasonable and the staff helpful, if a little distracted in their world of books. They also buy books. Nifty.
So Much Yarn
So Much Yarn is right, it's amazing. The best selection of fibers and it's about time there's a shop of this sort near downtown. The boutique itself is warm and cozy. The staff is very knowlegible. There's even tables in the back for classes and projects. I love to go down the street for coffee after picking up my unique and delightful finds at So Much Yarn. It's about time!!
Easy Street Records & Cafe
I love to go in here on a sunday and browse about, listening to the new releases, checking out the local music shelf and going through the t-shirts. They have a fantastic selection of mainstream, local and alternative sounds. Not to mention their magazine selection!! WOW!! And don't forget the dvds, there are plenty.

an amazing place to visit. not only is the brazilian the best I've ever had, I've sent my friends and they love it too. the gals are so empathetic and efficient. I especially love the interesting boutique items they have, and they are always changing so that I can be sure to pick up something interesting each time a go, like the hot lil anchor hangbag!
