This theater looks great, has good help, and is fairly inexpensive. We love to see movies here. The seats are comfortable and sound is good. Popcorn is good too!
This is such a sad experience. The theater is downtown/old town. It has such character but has been allowed to run down. There are holes in the plaster on the walls, the floor is sticky, seats are icky. Avoid this theater if at all possible. Would LOVE to see this renovated -- even if it just had one screen, I'd choose it over the other theater in town if it was spruced up a bit.
This place rocks. Great ice cream made on the premises. Player piano in the eating area. Young but usually great help. Cheap too. This place can't be beat!
SLOW is the word for Arnie's. Cute little place, hamburgers and sandwiches. Games for the kids. Ice cream is great. But don't go when you're in a hurry.
This is a local owned mini-mart. Known to locals simply as "Roger's", but his family works here too. Usually well-stocked, kids are welcome (they stop often before and after school), nice people to deal with.
Mungers is a landmark (turn left at Munger's) and an institution in this small town. Sadly, it's gone downhill since it was sold out of the family. You have to dust off the cans and check dates if you buy anything there. Be sure to count your change, too, not all the clerks are up to speed. Have to admit the jojo potatoes aren't bad though.
This is a hole-in-the-wall place right on the river. Don't let the trailers/campers throw you off. The steaks are great, Monday night is all you can eat spaghetti night at a dirt cheap rate, meat loaf is ok (I'd get the steak).
Italian (mainly) food. New, big and clean. Service was excellent, but the last two times we went it was very slow even though it wasn't busy. Their white pizza is excellent. Some specials that are different, plus standard fare. Thing I hate: Salads are extra and expensive. Price is medium-high overall.
El Zarape is a family-owned Mexican Restaurant. They give a military discount. The food is good and reasonably priced, service can be hit or miss. Our favorite Mexican food in the area.
NU Generation Lanes is a fun place for families or friends to enjoy a few hours entertainment. Most weekends they have Cosmic Bowling, they have a lounge (adults only), they have lots of leagues with different make-ups (adults, kids, adul/junior, men, women, family). Most of the staff are great to work with. Prices are a little high. They have a party room and party deals.
