I took my dog in to get his annual shots and checkup. The veterinarian was very friendly as were his staff. They noticed a cyst on my dog's forehead and gave me practical advice about having it removed. Unfortunately they don't take payments- however, the cyst went away by itself in a couple months before I had saved the money to have it removed- whew! I will be taking my dog back this year for his shots.
I went to Planned Parenthood back when I was 18, just starting out in the world and didn't have insurance. It was very inexpensive and I received what I needed, but the staff gave me the creeps. This was my first time being examined and they had a student nurse practicing on me- so I had to have every procedure done twice! The doctor also made a slightly inappropriate remark (I don't think it was meant in any weird way, but it didn't sound good to me in that situation).
CONS: Staff needs improvement on bedside manners
I very seldom shop at Albertson's because although they are clean and have friendly staff, their prices are higher than Safeway or Fry's aAnd to top it off, they don't double coupons. I know Albertson's in other parts of the country double and in some places triple coupons, which would make it worthwhile, but for my money, I'm staying out except for the occasional sales on produce.
PROS: Clean, friendly
CONS: Prices, Don't double coupons
This Safeway is very clean and has a great layout. It's fairly new still (comparatively). I've seen them selling extras outside like fresh BBQ chicken and ribs that they BBQ over a pit. They also have Sushi (which is acutally very good!)
PROS: BBQ & Sushi... Yummy!
Fry's always has the best prices in town. They also double coupons, giving you more for your money. I have never seen this store dirty and if there's a crowd, it's because you're shopping during rush hour. Go during the morning, middle of the day or late at night (not in the evening when everyone is rushing from work trying to figure out what to put on the dinner table). Safeway is just as crowded at the same time Fry's is. I have been shopping at Fry's since I can remember (as did my parents). If you go on the last day of a big sale and they're out of something you wanted (which can be expected on the LAST DAY of a BIG SALE), get a rain check so you can get the product at the sale price later when they restock (and maybe you'll have some great coupons by then to match up with it!) Great store!!
PROS: Prices, range of products
My husband found Touch of Thai and HAD to take me there! His favorite is to get one of the lunch specials that comes with the soup and then order tea for afterwards. I have to say, this was an awesome find of his!
PROS: Great food! Great prices! Love the soup!
I am constantly going to Barnes & Nobles! Whenever I have a free afternoon or evening, that's were I am. You'll find me sitting in their very comfy chairs browsing any number and kinds of books. If you love books, join their membership benefits for an evstra 10% off every purchase.
PROS: EVERY BOOK IS THERE!
Blockbuster is a good place to go if you want to play a large selection of games over a month or so to try before you buy. Join their monthly renting club for a month or so and see which games you like. But, to get your money's worth, eventually you should buy the games outright- even if it's off eBay or a used game store.
PROS: Good for try-before-you-buy
I get roaming charges IN MY HOUSE! I just received 8 messages in my voicemail starting from 2 WEEKS ago! I have dropped calls left and right, their customer service reps don't speak English and I'm STUCk in a contract! I DO NOT recommend Sprint!
I have purchase so many items from Fry's, I couldn't even begin to tell you. They have computers, office supplies and equipment, small and large appliances, movies, games, software, and the lost goes on... Great prices, I always receive the rebates back... great for Christmas/birthday/whenver shopping! Also a great place to kill a night with nothing else to do- shopping!!
