A friend from Lincoln Heights opened up this place with a few partners. They have good food and drinks and the menu is thematic, which I find very cool. They also have a ton of bands come through this place and play, perhaps not well known. It seems like the happening place to be.
I haven't been here in over a year but when I went to this place, it was huge. They had so many flowers. They did the flowers for a family members funeral and were beautiful. I often get flowers here for cemetary visits when I am home. They have good service and do beautiful displays and they are well priced.
Wow! I started going here almost 20 years ago now and I just recently went there over the Winter Break. I love the outdoor swimming pool and because it was winter time, they had the bubble over it. The place is getting a bit worn but they keep it clean and well-maintained. It has everything from tennis to racquetball to swimming to weights to cardio to exercise rooms to an indoor track to personal fitness mentors. Plus, one of the current Dodgers team members was working out there during the winter break!
This is a cute little gift shop in Montrose, which is a cute little shopping area in the hills above Glendale. They sell lots of different gift items from serious to silly. I even found Garbage Pail Kids here last year that I sent to my brother and sister.
I have been renting an apartment from this place for two years now and they are OK but not great managers. The place is in a lower income part of town and rent is low. Repairs have been made and issues addressed but not all of them. There are still outstanding problems that existed with the building when I first moved in that still exist. I wrote a letter but not all the issues have been addressed and sometimes the people who come in to do work on the building, do a sloppy job with their work and then cause more problems. I wish it was better but not.
My landlord had these guys come in to fix a standing water clog in my kitchen sink and he did it. In less than five minutes he had fixed my problem and gave me advice about what not to put down the disposal. The last plumber that came in for the same problem a few months ago took about three hours to fix the problem. He took forever with this ancient snake like metal thing and made such a mess and so much noise. These guys rock!
This place has contracts with the school districts to provide tutoring to students for the No Child Left Behind Act. They also provide individual tutoring. It is a great place to work as a tutor as times are flexible and administrative requirements are relatively low. It is up to you to be organized. Students get tailored instruction using California State Adopted Materials and positive results are quickly attained.
The place is beautiful, it is an old home in Lincoln Heights and it is beautiful. They provide funeral services for the local community. The owners are active in the community and donate to local organizations and community programs.
They have unique gifts that are imported from various places. I thought that this place might have to do with the dog breed but couldn't see how it was associated. Perhaps if I asked the owner she might tell me but I have yet to do that.
Malleys Pharmacy was owned and operated by family friends when I lived in Richland and I am unsure if they still own it. They alwasy offered great service when I lived there. They are a pharmacy, mail service, gift shop, etcetera. Support local business.
