He does a great job, pretty quickly, and is very helpful in picking out the right matting and framing material. On top of all that, his prices are very reasonable.
I would definitely use him again.
Sumalee has fantastic practice designed specifically for children. Everything in her office is designed to make children comfortable and excited about going to the dentist -- from the toys and books to the themed examination rooms and the TVs showing cartoons above the dental chairs.
She has a wonderful manner and takes great care to communicate with both the child and the parent. I would recommend her highly for your child's dental needs.
While the nearby town of Leavenworth is a bit surreal with all the Bavarian themed stores, Sleeping Lady is a great oasis outside of town. We went for a wedding in July that rented the whole place and every cabin was full of friends so it felt like summer camp again. I'm sure that it would be equally fun for a family on its own because the setting is beautiful, the food very good, the facilities great and the nearby mountains full of great hiking and biking trails.
Supposedly the winter is equally fun. We'd love to go back.
PROS: wonderful setting for a great escape
CONS: far from where we live now
I highly recommend going to Foothill for car repairs and for smog testing.
Avo will tell you what needs to be done and will quote a fair price for the work.
Gerrish has three pools -- 2 of which are geared to children. One is for toddlers and the other has a jungle gym with water slide and other toys for kids. The main pool has some lap lanes and then other general play area. On the weekends, the place is packed with families.
There are also two tennis courts -- though one seems to be dedicated to basketball most of the time.
The club has a number of grills and picnic tables but no snack bar. Lots of local restaurants deliver, however.
PROS: great for kids
CONS: slightly expensive
beautiful hotel, room service not top notch, many things overpriced but overall a very nice place to stay
great breakfast and good lunch
works on Audi, BMW, Porche, Range Rover. charges are reasonable
inexpensive, good haircuts for men, women and children
The LA Zoo is a disapointment. They charge too much, there are too few animals, and it is incredibly offensive that you have to walk a gauntlet of stores and vendors of crap just to get into the place. Then, at almost every turn, there are vendors selling even more crap -- horribly food for kids and t-shirts and stuffed animals.
I guess that I have been spoiled by other, better, less commercial zoos, but for such a large city, LA deserves much better in a zoo.
