Barnes & Noble
I like Barnes and Noble and think if you want to know about of find a new book it is the place to go. On the other hand if you want a classic childrens book, you might have better luck searching at an used book store. They keep in stock what sells and is popular and they will order a book for you if you know all your proper information and are willing to wait a couple weeks. So not a bad place at all.
Hollywood Video
Hollywood video in covington has people who will help you find any movie on dvd or vhs. I was looking for the movie "speed" and I couldn't find it any were on the shelfs. I asked for help and it turns out a customer had movied the movie out of it's alphabetical spot. The employee helped me search through rows of movies till we found it. They were very helpful and not lazy.
The Bean & The Bean express
This drive through expresso stand is outstanding. I have been going there once to 4 times a week for over a year. It doesn't matter if I haven't been there a week they still remeber my drink. Sometimes they ask to make sure I still want it, but they always remember. Plus they make good expresso and the barisstas are very friendly. Punch card is buy 8 get one free then buy 4 more and get another one free. It is right in front of the QFC in Des Moines.
YogaLife
Yogalife on top of Queen Anne offers people a chance to decide what kind of yoga they are up for. They have special rates for new clients and options to try multiple different classes and times. They have beginer to all levels to aeroboic yoga. Lots of different times offered a week and once a week they even have childrens yoga. I must warn you begining level is not completly easy.
Caffe Ladro
This is a coffee shop on top of the Queen Anne Hill. They sell/buy fair trade prices. The shop has a very diffrent or creative feel to it. There is a stain glass art piece running on the ceiling and there are often diffrent local artists art hanging up. I have never had my order messed up or coffee done wrong. A good place to check out.
