I used to shop at this Walgreen's all the time, but recently have started to shy away from them. Everytime I use a coupon, they say only 1 per household or give other excuses why I cannot use the coupon. And they give me a hardtime when trying to return items. I'd rather shop at CVS now.

PROS: Convenient location
CONS: Unfriendly staff

Austin, TX Mexican Restaurants 09/02/05: 'Good mexican food, but wait is sometimes too long'

Service is ok, I say that because everytime I go there, I don't seem to get the best waiter/waitress. They can't all have bad days.. we used to go there once a week. Now the wait is just too long. I like their Blackened fish dish. But for the price, I would put up with a little bad service and good tex-mex. Plus it is near my side of town, not too far of a drive.

PROS: Cheap, good food.
CONS: Mediocre service.

In my other Chuy's review, I mentioned I love the chille relleno's but their wait was 1.5 hours normally. So we drive up here to the N Lamar one and the wait is only 5-10 minutes. It is the BEST. Same friendly service, same food and same price, just a bit farther from where I live. I give it A++

PROS: No wait!
CONS: Bit far up north compared to where I live.

My k9 has been having diarrhea for a month and everytime I go back to Tomlinson's they give me a bag of food to try. They also have a very unique selection of pet supplies, I especially love the Timberwolf pet collars and leashes. They also have a very good supply of very good grade dog food.

PROS: Very unique selection, very helpful staff.
CONS: Pricey.

They used to carry the largest kinds of crates and pet beds that go into crates, but for the last month, I have been going every week and they do not have the pet beds in stock. We were lucky to be able to get the last of the largest crates. I believe the store seems to be only focused on food supplies and not living supplies of animals. It used to be a good store and still is, but they need to check their inventory and restock some of the items.

PROS: Good store in general.
CONS: Need to check their inventory on restocking.

Tex-Mex food is good and fast service. Consistently produce good food and add new items to the menu. Pescado champingnon is excellent. I ALWAYS order that dish.

PROS: Good consistent Tex-Mex
CONS: Margaritas are sometimes too strong or too weak.

Austin, TX Book Stores - Austin, TX Used & Rare Books 04/05/05: 'recently expanded store is HUGE'

They recently moved to an old Grocery Store location. Imagine how big it is! It is great! Very good lighting and much bigger aisles to stand and search for the books you want. No more cramped aisles! Pretty good selection too. And great discounts once in a while.. everything 20% off and tent sales $1 a book!

PROS: Great Store.
CONS: Still limited selection and buy backs are very cheap.

especially during happy hour. it is always packed during happy hour. there is always a line on the stairs waiting for them to open. very much worth the money. a bit slow in the service (because they are always packed during happy hour), but they are awesome. try their innovative rolls - longhorn roll, godzilla roll etc. i give it all my thumbs up.

PROS: best bang for your buck sushi during happy hour
CONS: hard to find parking space due to being downtown and slightly slow service

Austin, TX Restaurants 04/05/05: 'very good tex-mex but waits are ridiculous 90% of the time'

Everyone LOVES their fajitas there. And it has an 'odd' laid back atmosphere, so it is fun. They love Elvis. I ordered the chile rellano with Shrimp and Cheese, it was delicious. But sometimes the wait doesn't make the place worth it. We have had to wait for 1.5 hours on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm.

So Chuy's has been on the news.. Bush daughter, on the Newlyweds. And they have stores in Round Rock, Houston and I think Dallas now.

PROS: Great Tex Mex and fun atmosphere
CONS: Wait is TOOO long.

Randalls Food & Pharmacy

Austin, TX Grocery Stores 04/05/05: 'Very clean and very coupon friendly'

I LOVE Randall's especially because they double and triple coupons everyday!!!!! They are also extremely coupon friendly and will even put a coupon back if you missed it during your transaction. People say they are overpriced, but look at the service you get!!

PROS: Great service, great management, great cashiers.
CONS: A bit overpriced, but great service.
