This is probably some of the best Thai around, and especially at the lunch special prices. For $9 you can get an entree, appetizer and a drink. I tend to get the same thing almost every time; Kee Mao Noodles, Thai salad and tea. They have a wonderful peanut dressing for the salad. Their currys are also very good. My husband always orders the Shrimp Pad Thai and salad.
I went here with my husband expecting to just go out for drinks and have your average pub food, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food offered here. The food was good enough that I have gone here for lunch without ordering alcohol. The servers and bartenders are all very friendly too.
As one reviewer already stated, they are not in a large area. The place can fill very fast at night, especially on the weekends. I try to come before 7pm, so there is a better chance to score a couple open seats.
On my first trip here I ate a meal with friends before heading over to the history museum. The food was alright, no one had any complaints, but it wasn't anything noteworthy. They offered large portions and the service was good. I decided to go back for lunch a few months later with a friend and it took about 20 minutes from when we placed our order to receive our appetizer. We ordered oysters on the half shelf for our appetizer and in its place we were given fried oysters. After we told the waitress that wasn't what we ordered she claimed oysters on the half shell weren't on the menu. We didn't want to place another appetizer order since it took so long to receive the fried oysters, so we accepted them. To be fair, she did offer to discount us for her error and apologized. The fried oysters were the best thing we ate. Our entrees arrived one minute after the appetizer. We ordered the Seafood Gumbo, which happened to arrive with oysters on the half shell in it. Amazing that they aren't available as an appetizer, but are in the gumbo. How long was the soup sitting around? Obviously, the quality was not very good and the seafood was definitely not fresh. We did receive a large portion of the gumbo, but I will take quality over quantity any day.
The overpriced food is either average or below average. The only item enjoyed between my husband and I was the ribeye, and it was nothing spectacular.
My husband was actually served beer in a chipped pint glass with a jagged edge during our last visit. There was only one other party in the restaurant while we were there too. It's not like they didn't have time for quality control.
I love bringing out of town guests to the charming State Farmers Market. The segmented, open-air shops provide the freshest local goods you could ever want. I come often for fresh food and always makes a special trip each season for things like pumpkins for fall, greenery for the holidays, flowers in the spring, etc...
The restaurant is also reasonably priced. You cant go wrong spending an afternoon here.
I will definately become a regular here. The personnel are very helpful, friendly and honest. I brought my car in with the brake light on, fully expecting to have to pay for new brakes. I was surprised to hear they were just out of alignment and to worry about replacing them later.
The practice tends to be very fast paced. I have only had the chance to meet with the physician assistant or nurse during appointments because the doctors time is filled well in advance.
Everyone is very friendly, especially the staff. They are very accepting of last minute appointments if you don't mind a wait.
I fractured my foot and when the cast was removed my doctor recommended physical therapy. Carolina Rehab is conveniently located above his office. The physical therapists were friendly and accomodating. They gave me tips and exercises to do at home, and I thought I was gradually improving.
Some cons to exercising here:
They would get very busy and had to split their time between several people. Being on the second floor it also got uncomfortably warm, which was worsened by exercising. They need to find a better solution than a giant fan. After a few months I noticed my pain was slowly coming back, so I sought a second opinion. I was surprised to see how greatly the tips varied.
After following the advice from the second physical therapist at Raleigh Bone and Joint, which turned out to be much more helpful than Carolina Rehab's advice, I am doing much better.
The pharmacy is always busy. You'll see people scrambling to fill orders, yet they are rarely ready as promised. It probably isn't the employee's fault as much as it is the store's fault for not hiring enough people. It is just very annoying to have to wait around sometimes 30 minutes or longer than promised.
PROS: friendly employee's
CONS: prescriptions rarely on time
If you are looking to spend hours in line to accomplish nothing, this is the place for you. Nothing ruins your day as quickly as an experience here will.
Most of the customer service representatives know very little about sprint policies. You will stand in line to have them give you best guesses.
