Chelsea Piers Golf Club
If you live in the city then you know there aren't many places you can go to golf. Chelsea Piers had set up a very nice golfing area for the outdoors. They have a decent driving range for a good price. The service is not always good but its the only place you can golf in the city. You don't have to be a pro to golf here and you won't feel intimidated by the pros.
Chelsea Piers Sky Rink
Chelsea Piers is a great place to go if you are looking for any sport activty. The Sky Rink is a great place to go ice skating and spending the day. They keep the place in good condition and the staff are very nice. Me and my friends had a really good time the last time we went. They even have lessons avaiable for those who can't skate. Its a great place to take a date.
Gothic Cabinet Craft
Gothic Cabinet sell alot of cabinets and furniture for the home. They can custom make cabinets to fit any size you need. They have really good pricing too. If you are trying to save some money you can buy pieces that are unfinished and do them yourself. They are alot cheaper. They use solid wood so you know the furniture will last long.
The Princeton Review
I took the SAT Prep course from Princeton Reivew and I must say it helped me alot. The course though are very expensive but they have monthly installment plans. The teachers I had were really good and I learned alot. They even teach you tips on how to get higher scores. They provide you with all the materials so you won't have to pay extra to get the books.
Ming Fay Book Store
Ming Fay is a decent book store for chinese literature but not the best one to go to in Chinatown. The selection is limited and the store a bit small. They also have a small selection where they sell pens,pencils, paper, etc. The people there are not very friendly but the pricing is good.
Manhattan Books
Manhatten Books sell mostly used and new college textbooks. You can find used textbook for pretty cheap here and if some of you might know college books are expensive. They even buy back your used college books. When I went I got a pretty decent price for some of my books. They don't take everything, so I would recommend calling and see if they want you book before you carry it all the way to them.
Rivington Street Guitars
Rivington Guitars is a good place to start if you are looking for a used or vintage guitar and other equipment. There prices are pretty good and ranging from a few hundred dollars and up depending on what you are looking for. The staff are really nice and helpful. They try there best to help you get what you are looking for.
Ludlow Guitars
Ludlow Guitars is a very nice store that has a good selection of guitars. You can see them all hanging on the walls when you walk in. There are several guitar stores in the neighborhood but Ludlow Guitars is one of the bigger ones. The people inside are friendly and definity know there stuff. They also have used and vintage guitars if that is what you are looking for.
Alice's Haircare
I decided to give this place a try since it was so close to work. The prices are reasonable and the staff there is really nice. The stylist listened to what I wanted and told me what she thoguht would look good on me. I got a very nice cut. It is not the best cut I've ever gotten but its definitely not the worst. I would definitely go back and try them again.
Alice Underground Limited
Alice Undergroung is a huge store that looks like a warehouse. It has two floors fill with some vintage clothing and much more. They have tons of t-shirts, skirts, sneakers, and more. They have all the t-shirts with the old 80's cartoon designs such as Carebears, strawberry shortcake, alvin and the chipmucks, and so much more. It was so happy to find this store because I was looking for t-shirts like that all over the place.
