Fry's has been around for not too long, but they have become a major electronics store in my mind. This is the only place that I will actually check weekly advertisements on, because this store is HUGE. They have everything that a normal person would need, and more. This is the place for home entertainment systems, computers, video games, and more.
Best Buy should be more like Worst Buy. To a person who knows about electronics shopping and has been around a block, you'll quickly notice the gimmicks they offer and the not-so-best pricing in San Diego. Most of the time, I know more about what I'm buying than the customer representative, and their return policy isn't too good. However, once in a while, they have a deal thats hard to resist.
Chuck E Cheese used to be the type of place where everyone enjoyed their childhood, but now-a-days its lost its effect. Of all places to take your kids for some food, this is not it. The pizza isn't even that good, the entertainment is bad or sometimes even frightening (I don't like big mice). Just not the type of thing for the money.
See's Candies knows how to make chocolate. The selection and family friendly service of their company has gotten me to come back for several years. Just knowing that everytime i visit, I'll get a free sample and can buy some good candy makes me warm inside. If you love to eat chocolate or have a craving, you seriously need to drop by and get a taste of what See's has to offer. They know how to make chocolate and have been for a long time.
See's knows how to please its customers. Being a See's customer for several years now, I've become accustomed to getting a box of their chocolates a few times a year and visiting for free samples. My last experience was great, right when i walked in, a greeter offered me two samples of chocolates and helped me select a box of chocolates. This is one small, but sweet store.
Micheals is a cool store to just goto and walk around in.. The amount of supplies for arts and crafts are amazing. I seriously didn't know that they carried 15 different sizes of foam balls for your use. I don't know how many times that I've gone there for when I have projects to do, but its a great place to find things to play with. However, I don't think it gets the credit it deserves.
Office Depot has everything you might need for your office and more. They carry both traditional office supplies (paper, pens, chairs, desks), but also have lots of computer supplies as well. A lot of their sales are usually really good and sometimes you can even make money off of them. The only problem I've had is a bossy manager who wouldn't budge on some pricing, otherwise this place is great.
I'm so happy that FedEx and Kinkos have merged. Have something you need to copy and send out? Need to send out a package? Need to get some other business items done near midnight? This place knows your needs and is open to midnight and sometimes even later. The friendly and sometimes helpful serivce make this a great place to get your extra work done.
Road Runner Sports is just like how it sounds. Its a store with fast service and low prices. The shoe selection isnt as large as say, Foot Locker, but it is good enough for those who are looking for a pair of running shoes or some sport supplies. One thing I like about the store is the discounts for student athletes, which is great for those who want to save a little more.
American Eagle Outfitters is like a cheaper version of Abercrombie and Hollister. They have respectable fashions for an almost respectable price. The thing I like about AEO is that they sometimes have coupons, which make this store worth checking out. I still prefer this over those other "preppy" stores and agree that this is probably the best place for that kind of clothing.
