KB Books is the place to find those textbooks for college. They offer both new and used books for low prices, which helps everyone out. They also sell student editions of software, which is good for people who don't need full versions of things. I don't know how many times that I and my family have shopped at KB, but the savings have been phenomenal.
Borders has a great library of books, from bestsellers to those that are less popular. Their sales are great, grab a few books for reduced prices and sometimes save even more. The pricing is great compared to some other book stores, but I did have trouble finding one book that I originally went to find. The store is friendly, quiet and soothing. They even let you have a little preview read if you want. Just take a seat and get to it.
Music Trader is a great place to take some of your old CDs that you don't like or want and trade them for something more favorable. They have an extensive library and offer decent prices. One thing i like is the amount of music-related memorabilia, from posters to pins. Cool store, wish they didn't have to close anymore down.
When you go to nickel city, you'll think about how much fun you can have with five cents. The two dollar entry fee and abundance of games, both old and new are great. But you'll find that your fun will run short from boredom and you might not even use all your nickels. An average place with some good deals on certain games.
Going to the San Diego County Fair is something that gives me memories of my childhood. For half a month or so every summer, the Del Mar fairgrounds is turned into a fair, filled with animals, food, entertainment and fun. Every time I go, I check out the animal sound making contests from kids and milk some cows. This is a fair you have to experience at least once, and you'll love it forever.
The first thing you will notice is the ferris wheel when you arrive to belmont park. It is beautiful at night, when it is lit up. This place is basically a movie style fair, with cotton candy, fun carnival games, and good entertainment. Plus, its next to the beach, so you can enjoy a beautiful ocean view and nice atmosphere while youre there.
Sea World has been a part of my life for who knows how long. Living about 5 minutes away, I've become accustomed to going at least twice a year just to see whats new. The shows and entertainment are wonderful for everyone in the family: kids and adults. For those who like a little thrill, the splash zone is fun to be in. But like all amusement parks, the prices are a little too much for most things.
Boomer's is all about fun. They offer an arcade (although it does get a little cramped at times), gokarts, mini golf, laser tag, and some other entertainment as well. The best deals come on tuesdays and thursdays, when its 10 dollars for unlimited arcade time or 15 for arcade and gokarting. The only problem is the amount of people they admit, which is sometimes ridiculous.
GameStop has everything a gamer needs to be happy. They sell consoles, new and used, the latest games, and accesories as well. They always have the hottest games on demo for you to play and offer great support. I love dropping by this store just to see whats new.
GameStop is a great place to get the latest games for all consoles, or even older ones that are for ancient systems. The young and energetic staff is ready to help and is quite knowledgable about games of all eras. However, the pricing on the games are usually retail price and I only buy from them because of their benefits when you reserve a game.
