Our Sunday School class has their annual retreat here each year. The rooms are very nice and spaceous, and the whole facility is just so nice. It really makes you feel like you got away from it all. Food was good, too, and meeting rooms are good sizes.
My son came here on a retreat for church, and he loved it. They did a lot of winter sports - snowboarding, toboganning, and running around in the snow. He said the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. I'd recommend it for kids group trips. Your kids will have fun!
This church has many programs for outreach to its community, including a hip-hop church for young people, a job center, and a community development corporation to help people get their own homes. They have Bible studies, too, and it's very clear that the people here CARE. Highly recommended.
This market research firm does what they say- They dont' call too much to try to qualify you,and when you come do the research/focus group/interview, they pay what they promise. Plus, they have great parking downtown so you don't have to pay to come there. Nice!
This store has items from a dollar plus, and has a wide variety of products crammed into crowded, narrow aisles and shelves. I came here and got some wrapping paper for a gift, but overall would not return unless there were no other options. It was just not an appealing place to visit.
This store is great! It has a nice selection of movies and games, and has a free section for kids. It also has cheaper rentals during the week, and just an overall friendly staff. I was very impressed, and wish I had one closer to my home.
This store only sells kosher items, and caters primarily to the Jewish population in Skokie. They have meats, wines and nonperishable goods. I went in here looking for some bread and found it, but just browsed to see what else would be here. Interesting to find such a store thriving, great that there are alternatives to Jewel.
We enjoyed seeing movies here when we lived in Skokie. It's pretty easy to find, and parking is not hard most of the time. The theater was a little small, and the sound system is not the latest, but the prices make it worth your while to head over here.
We've seen a few movies here and it's a nice alternative to paying an arm and leg at the first-run theaters while still having the experience. Kind of hard to wait till new releases come here, but if you just want to see a movie, check out what's playing here. The $1.75 tickets are very easy on your wallet.
This store has lots of styles of leather jackets, both unusual ones for those wanting a *unique* look and plain ones for those who just want to stay warm. My husband got his coat here a couple of years ago, it's done him well for years.
