Fun Nails
The lady that owns this place is very nice, and her business is really family oriented, which I liked, but personality alone could not save her. I am very particular about my nails and I was really disappointed with the job that they did on my nails. She didn't listen to me AT ALL, she answered her cell phone and played with a baby in the middle of doing my nails, and did my nails the opposite of what I asked for. I certainly won't return.
Get Serious Gym
This is a pretty nice, small gym. It's never very busy. The place is kept really clean, although it is a bit run down looking. The staff consists of about 3 people so it's a really friendly place. They have lots of machines -- weights, treadmills, bicycles, etc. and they also have tanning. Their prices are about the same as the big chains (only a little cheaper), but with lower start up costs. They don't have classes though. Otherwise this is a really nice place!
El Taco Tote
This is a great fresh baja style Mexican restaurant. It's very bright on the inside and out and the food is all prepared fresh. THe seating is comfortable and there is tons of room inside. The staff was reasonably friendly when we went, but even some of our wait staff spoke very broken English. The food itself was really good, I was very impressed. The prices are lower than most other Mexican sit down restaurants.
Tarpleys Tax Service
We started using Bertha through a referral from a friend and she has been wonderful. She explains everything in a way you can understand and helps you get the most our of your tax return. Her prices are really reasonable. Her business is run out of her home, but it's not at all unprofessional - instead it's rather comfortable and nice.
Tyler's Custom Design
I used Karen Tyler as my florist and she was wonderful! She was extremely helpful at the reception - even volunteering to go BEYOND the extra mile. All of our flowers looked BEAUTIFUL and she was nice enough to accent the cake and our aisle runner. We had an arch that she created a garland for, too and it was stunning. Karen did an amazing job, she was my favorite wedding vendor and I would definitely reccomend her! Her prices are the BEST, too!
Big Apple Barbershop
My husband goes here often and really likes the place. It's clean and quiet - just like he likes it. The line is never too long (usually 1 or 2 people) and the prices are more than reasonable. He completely shaves his head so he likes the blade they use there and the product they use on his head. He goes about once every 2 weeks and never complains!
Heidi's Events & Catering
Heidi's is great if you're looking for a caterer with several options -- they serve all kinds of food from Mexican to Italian to Barbeque! The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is great! If you're planning a wedding or major event, Heidi's is the way to go - they have options for every budget and style. The staff at my event was really helpful, too and they all looked and acted professional.
Mr Sushi Japanese Restaurant
We just started eating sushi and so far this is our favorite place - really friendly, helpful staff and a sushi bar! Their tables/chairs aren't the most comfortable and they have no booths but the food is to die for! They have some really great rolls here and have specials on a regular basis, too. Pricing is pretty average for sushi places, we usually spend around $50 for 2 of us. Try the tootsie roll if you go!
Banfield The Pet Hospital
This is a great pet hospital - it is extremely clean and the front desk staff goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The vets are very attentive and truly care about your pet. Our dog was very sick when we brought him in and the vet was helpful and patient and answered all of our questions. The prices were fair to high and I would definitely return.
7th Avenue Smoke Shop
We went here after a friend had a baby to get him some cigars and they had a great selection. We never smoke them so the guy at the counter showed us what kind would be best and within a reasonable budget. He was really nice and even gave us a coupon for the next time we visit. The store is kind of small and certainly not in my favorite area, but it's a nice little mom and pop type shop that really took care of us and gave us a great deal - we'll be back!
