I like this library because of what it offers for my young children. They have computer learning games for my 7 year old, a great selection of children's books and videos, and a small quiet play area with large stuffed animals, puppets and puzzles for my 2 year old. I will usually go into the play area with my 2 year old and allow my 7 year old to find his books and videos on his own. He is able to easily find what he needs. They have collections of childrens books in several different areas of the library. For a chile, we were stuck on Spot, Berenstein Bears, Curious George and Clifford and it was great that we always knew where these would be. There are also several computers with internet access in the library and a reasonable collection of adult fiction, nonfiction and audio books.
PROS: children's books and activities
I am so pleased with Cathy's work. She spent so much time with our family capturing great moments and then choosing the best photos for our review. She works very well with kids, babies, the whole family. Her website is well worth the visit. Our results have been as good as what you see on the web site. Truly amazing work. She put together a linen book for us that we gave and Christmas gifts for our family. When our family opened this gift and looked through the pictures, there was not a dry eye around.
Ken Schilling has always provided us with great tax service. A few years ago we began a small business out of our home. Ken helped us complete all the necessary forms and file the business with the state. He prepares our taxes for our business and personal taxes each year and we have been very pleased with his work. He automatically prepares all the business forms for us and just sends them to us for review and signature. He makes the tax part of our busy easy.
This Game Stop was very helpful to me during a recent visit. My husband normally helps my son choose video games, but he is not in town right now, so I got stuck doing this. When we walked in, I was greeted immediately and was offered assistance. They allowed my 7 year old son to take the game he was looking at for a "test drive." The sales person did not rush us at all or put any pressure on us. She led us to a great deal in a used game. She also was very helpful when she saw me looking at other accessories in the store and explained what was important in the item I was looking at.
This shop had some really cute items. A lot of memorabilia from old TV shows, but in addition to the coffee mugs and dust collectors, there were also some fun things, like puzzles and games. It was fun to look around. I bought a Three Stooges puzzle for a gift for someone.
If you loved stuffed animals as a child, you will love this store as much as your child. At $10 for a basic bear, it is a little spendy. However, your child (or you) will be able to choose your own bear design, stuff the bear, put a heart in the bear, "bathe" the bear, and name it, complete with a birth certificate. Of course, the store has all sorts of clothing and accessories for the bear. Most complete outfits are $15. They will also host birthday parties. Each bear goes home in his/her own cardboard house. Very fun experience.
I went on a field trip with my son's school to this museum and it was incredible. These 1st graders never got bored and did not want to leave when the time was over. The museum has many experiments that the children can do, areas where they can just play and have fun, so much to learn. They can even "dig" for dinosaur bones. We have thought about getting season passes as I think my son could find new things to do on several visits.
This business can be very quick to get in and out of, unless you try to get in on a Friday afternoon. They have a range of services including all nail care, facial waxing and tanning beds are also available. I have had great success with having my eyebrows waxed here. They are very reasonably priced for this service - I think $12. They follow my instruction well. I have also had manicures and pedicures, but they take longer and the fumes of the chemicals bother me after a while. However, the prices on those are reasonable as well. All in all, a great place to go to have these services done at a reasonable price and quickly.
I really like that this dry cleaners has a drive through. With 2 young kids, it is really a hassle to go into the store with my clothes. I can drop off and pick up in the drive through without ever getting out of my car. The employees are very friendly. The store accepts competitors coupons, but remember to mention them when you drop off your clothes. They will not adjust the bill when you pick them up. The largest discount they will give on dry cleaning is 30%. Some competitor ads will say 50% off, but they will only honor up to 30%. They do a great job on the cleaning as well.
This spa was great. They were very friendly from the time I called to make my appointment until I finished. They have choice of complimentary beverage - coffee, tea, water, or wine. I have a reflexology session and a pedicure (getting my feet ready for summer). The lady who did the reflexology talked about how it works and helped me understand areas of tension in my body. They offer a full range of services - massages, facials, microdermabrasion, hair care, nail care, hair removal, makeup application. Would be great to go here before a big event.
