I've been a lifetime member and fan of the teachings of PL, and would recommend our church to anybody who is looking to improve their attitude towards life. Our teachings, which center around the idea of "Life is Art", are simple yet quite relevant to our everyday times. If you'd like to learn more, please go to the church website, which is at http://www.pl-usa.org/
We'd love to see you at our next Sunday Service!
PROS: Small congregation, great people, lots of camraderie.
CONS: We want more people to know about our teachings.
I have been taking all 3 of my cats here and can't dream of taking them anywhere else. All the vet techs and office staff are really nice. They offer low-cost cash only vaccination clinics 2 times a week and have been very helpful with my newest cat, who has anxiety issues. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is new to the neighborhood. They charge reasonable fees and are pretty upfront about what you're going to pay if additional treatments are needed.
PROS: Great staff, friendly atmosphere.
CONS: They have a tiny parking lot so it's hard to find a spot sometimes.
For the price of admission, you get to climb, ride tricycles, explore all kinds of hands-on exhibits and cool off in the courtyard, where a fountain shoots out little jets of water intermittently. My two-year old loved the fountain so much, she was dripping from head to toe! (Thank goodness someone had warned me to pack an extra set of dry clothes!)
We're definitely planning to go again when my son is on vacation from school.
PROS: Lots to do- you can spend all day there
CONS: In the fountain they make you keep your shoes on?!
We stopped in for the first time at Rusty's a few Fridays ago. It's got a Karaoke lounge area off to the side w/ a bar that looked fun, and then there's the main restaurant. (We ate in the main restaurant part since we had the kids w/ us.) The food was excellent, with some of the best rice and beans I've had in a long time, and we all enjoyed our dinner. The menu is also very kid-friendly, offering stuff like hamburgers, spaghetti and french fries for picky little eaters. Great for dining w/ a family, and the prices are moderate, about the same you'd expect to pay at a Coco's, El Torito or Carrow's.
PROS: Kid-Friendly menu with yummy and moderately-priced food
I've been going to this Ralphs for about 5 years. The produce is excellent here, and the store is clean, bright and well-maintained. I can usually zip in, buy everything on my shopping list, and get through the checkout without any problems. The staff is always happy to help you out to your car with your groceries, and if I can't find something thats out of stock, they are happy to write me a raincheck, no questions asked.
PROS: Excellent produce department, clean, bright and welcoming
CONS: Sometimes the checkout lines can get kind of long
Both me, my husband and son have been patients here. In order to avoid having to wait a long time, I deliberately scheduled our appts first thing in the morning. In two instances, despite arriving on time, we had to wait out in the hallway because the front office staff was either a) late getting into the office or b) forgot to unlock the front door! Unlike other dentists' offices I've gone to, this practice does not verify your insurance prior to the appointment, even if you call them and provide all your info over the phone in advance. That means that after you get there, you have to sit around and wait while the front office gal calls to verify insurance, which is a big time waster.
Once you get in to see the dentist, the staff is very efficient and friendly, but the inefficiency of front office alone makes me not want to return to this office for further treatment.
PROS: The dentist and staff are efficient and nice.
CONS: You will spend an eternity sitting in the waiting room.
I have 3 cats so I go through a lot of cat food. Pet Supreme is right down the street from me and they are always willing to help me find the big bags of cat food I prefer and will cheerfully help me carry it out the car. They have a whole aisle devoted to cat toys and treats. Nice folks. For frequent buyers, they have a frequent buyer program where after buying 10 bags you get an 11th free. They also host low-cost vaccination clinics on a regular basis.
PROS: Large warehouse type store, huge selection
CONS: Sometimes it gets very crowded.
