In 2000, Dempster's wife, Susie, joined the ranks with Blooming Designs, a company specializing in designing perennial flower gardens. Susie has experience in formal gardens, informal natural gardens and specialty gardens designed for environmental conditions.

Summit Landscape and Blooming Designs now employs between 16 and 20 seasonal employees and specializes in patios, walkways, leaf removal, retaining walls, pruning, garden design and installation, spring and fall clean-up, fertilization and landscape lighting. Summit Landscape also provides salting and plowing services.
