This place is shady! But then again, what do you expect from a pool hall? Parking is in between buildings and on the street and not secure AT ALL, but there are a lot of pool tables there and the prices are reasonable. Fun juke box. Good spaces between tables.
This is my favorite Guess store, and makes the trip down this Old Town street, far from parking lots, worth it! They have a great selection of purses in the back, and a nice sales rack. Vaguely friendly staff that mostly ignores customers, but the selection here is very worth a visit.
PROS: Great Selection
CONS: Mediocre Staff
I'm a fan of BR but this Banana Republic is fairly out of the way for Old Town perusers. The only reason to walk that far is because Guess and FCUK are the neighbors in residence, but the parking lots are far far away! Not particularly spectacular selection, not particularly interesting store.
PROS: Nice Neighbors
CONS: Far from Parking Lot
This store is particularly large and well located. It has a huge sales rack and TONS of dressing rooms, quick checkout and helpful staff. You can get lost in here if you don't know what you're doing. Old Navy makes so-so clothing, but this particular location is worth a visit.
CONS: So-so clothing
Wetseal is all right but you can get the same stuff at Forever21 for slightly cheaper. Their selections are also smaller, and they cater towards the teeny-boppin crowd, and the teeny-boops-who-dress-slightly-too-provocatively crowd, with items like see-through, sequined, backless tops and tons and tons of print tee, cut up jeans and tacky jewelry.
Victoria's Secret has won a special place in my heart for my underwear and lingere needs. Their wares are sexy and comfortable and the moderately expensive price is something I'm willing to pay for that kind of quality combination. Their panties are often on sale for something like 5 for 20, and their bras last a very long time!
PROS: Quality, Sex Appeal, Comfort
Express fashion has declined when they tried to make their clothing more affordable and introduced things like funky-colored Editor slacks and racey tops that aren't quite as interesting as Bebe's or Guess for the same price. But the Editor Pant will always be my favorite. :)
PROS: Editor Pant!
CONS: Not Stylish Enough
I'm going to step up to the place and defend this store. Their clothing might not be the best of quality, but you can't beat 10 for a shirt or $20 for jeans. They're not tendsetters, but they do a commendable job at mimicry - and honestly, not a whole lot of people can tell, or even care.
For those who like to mix up clothing often and mix and match, this is a good place to go for closet stuffers. For those who don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money on clubby clothing, this is also a nice place to pick up something ridiculously cheap, flashy, fairly slutty that'll do well for a night or two out on the town. After that, you can throw it away. After all, you don't want to get your nice stuff spilled on anyway.
I concur that this store is similar to Forever21. Their selection divurges slightly, though, into the direction of 'trying to look older' with darker colors, more dressy clothing, and far less pink and yellow.
Their line of Refuge jeans is pretty good. They have a variety of cuts and colors, from low rise to hipsters to flares or slim, in both normal jeans as well as cropped and capris. Colors range from nearly black to stonewashed, and a few of them have sparkly details. Great $30 jeans.
PROS: Slightly Different from Forever21
CONS: Still Just Forever21 ;)
Their styles, which men seem to hail as sexy, are really only semi-sexy rather than smoking hot. The quality of their underwear is so low that you'll do better to buy something fun at Victoria's Secret instead, or save your money and buy cheap somewhere else.
PROS: Low Quality, Uncomfortable
CONS: Semi Sexy
