New Harbour seems to be one of the best places for Chinese food that I have been to in the Spokane area. Even my dad, who never used to like Chinese food much, always used to enjoy coming to New Harbour after he tried it. I also especially like the Oriental music that they play - it's not too loud and sets
a nice tone when you walk in the door. They have complimentary tea, too.
Mandarin Garden has really poor quality Chinese food. They seem to use a lot of
frozen vegetables and things like that, and it's really pretty disappointing. I
even heard from someone that they got really sick after eating here, so I
wouldn't recommend taking the chance, especially since it's not very good in
the first place.
Rancho Chico is a great Mexican restaurant in Colville. I like to eat there or get food to bring home, like their vegetarian burritos which are especially good. the burritos are really big, too, so if you bring it home you have something to eat on for more than one meal. they have such a good sauce - i wish i knew how to imitate it!
I like to stop in at the Steer Inn on my way back from Spokane. They have good
fishwiches and french fries, and what I really like to order are their
chocolate milkshakes. They are rich and chocolate-y the way I like them and
even better if you remember to ask for malt.
My favorite thing to come to Sandy's for are the clam strips. I actually can't
seem to find clam strips anywhere in Colville. I would actually come here just
for the clamstrips and never order any other food. They used to be a seasonal
place, but now they are open all year round.
Tony's is a good newer pizza place that opened up in Colville not too long ago.
It's a good place to get a "you-bake" pizza to take home and bake yourself.
They make good pizzas. One of my favorite things about it is the sauce they use which is garlicky and flavorful - I can just tell that it must be a homemade sauce.
One of my favorite pizzas to order here (to take home and bake) is their "Gourmet" pizza with a whole bunch of different toppings, like artichoke hearts. You have to remember to specify which kind of sauce, though, as they sometimes make it with a white sauce which I don't like as well as the red tomato sauce.
