Carrie has high quality merchandise and will give very fair prices for those items that come in and out of your life in a matter of months. Better than putting things on Craigs List.
If you are a first time mom, check out the new parent support groups. Its a great place to connect with other wide eyed first timers and an opportunity to ask all questions. Don't be surprised if you start amazing friendships in that room.
While appointments are close to impossible, make the time to go visit Patrick at Salon on the Square. He has an incredible eye for cut and will not let you leave if you are unhappy with the results.
I went in for my first visit and within an hour the pain is gone. She is trained in a variety of alternative medical arts and she is very honest. She doesn't expect you to come to her for the rest of your life.
I saw Cindy at Chicekn Soup Chinese Medcine for over a year and she was incredibly supportive of my needs. The entire staff is well trained and serene.
It is an added bonus that she accepts insurances.
I've been using Eugene's shop for several years and its a given that all clothes come back spotless and prestine and mended, if needed. They also maintain great prices
They remember your name, they remember your needs. Very friendly family-owned shop.
We absolutely adore our pediatrician Laurel Schultz. She is definitely the parents' advocate and happy to share different medical views.
She is an adoptive mom of two beautiful kids so she's a great choice if you are adopting domestically or internationally.
I absolutely adore French Macaroons and this place has the best in San Francisco. Light, airy and sweet. Perfect complement to a home cooked meal. Their packaging is also well done, so a wonderful hostess gift.
Don't have time for a trip to Paris? Never mind, just get over to Pine, Polk or Cole, and experience baked goods as good as the best in Paris. Amazingly crusty sweet breads, hearty yet delicate desserts, everything is superb and the prices are extremely reasonable. Check out the macaroons. Simply divine!
A real bargain is their $4 Croque Monsieur, not any old grilled cheese with ham, but their own bread, several kinds of cheese (and lots of it--including the entire top covered in it), plus lean ham and a delictable white cheese sauce. Yum!
Basil Thai is a refreshing change for a south of market lunch eatery. They serve up tasty thai appetizers and the entrees are just plain fun.
The pad thai is delicious, as is their stuff eggplant dish. In fact, I've heard very few complaints about any of the dishes.
Check it out if you're in SOMA.
