Emile's Restaurant
My husband and I have eaten here several times and the ambiance and warmth of the restaurant is top notch. I always have a bowl of soup there, it is always sublime. I have had both seafood and veal, my husband usually has the lamb. We are always very happy with our meal. If you are tired of the corporate restaurants and want a real treat, this is the place.
Amante Salon
Ask for Keri York and you won't be disappointed. Keri has been doing my hair for years and I count on her to help me look my best at all times. She has done my hair for 2 TV appearances and some professional photos. I never let anyone else cut or color my hair.
Mariani's Inn & Restaurant
Mariani's is one of those old time places to take your Grandma to dinner. The servers are all very experienced and take care of you professionally. I like the saltimbocca and the home made soups are usually outstanding. They have dancing on Friday and Saturday night. Old standard songs are played. They have huge banquet and meeting facilities and the hotel is reasonably priced. Sunday brunch is also popular, but I have never tried it.
Gordon Biersch Restaurant Brewery
I went into GB just to have a few appetizers and a drink with a friend. They do an outstanding job. We had quick and friendly service. The food was wonderful. He had the meatloaf and I had some flatbread with different spreads. Both disappeared. I also tried a new drink, a Key Lime Pie which was really good. I would go back anytime.
Cloud Nine Limo
A group of us wanted to go out for the evening and nobody wanted to drive so we ordered a Cloud Nine Limo and they took us to dinner and then to the comedy club downtown. The driver was great, funny and courteous. The limo was totally clean and it added a lot to our evening. We would use them again.
Zeni Ethiopian Restaurant
I was enchanted with Zeni the first time I went there. The atmosphere is relaxing. We had the good fortune to be there when they were doing a special coffee ritual, that is really something to see. I really love the flat bread that they put under the meal. When you are sick of the same old thing, try Zeni.
Six Star Factory Outlet
I like to shop this store for cards and hair ornaments for my daughter who promptly loses them. The quality of most of the merchandise is very bad, but for cards and hair accessories it works out well. I also buy wrapping paper here. Most of the other products are too substandard to buy.
Winchester Mystery House
I went to the Winchester Mystery House just once and that was plenty. I found it boring. The history of it isn't even that interesting. It was also excessively expensive. Go to a movie or to the Tech museum, money better spent and less of it.
Kerley Joe Jeep Eagle
I have not purchased a vehicle from them, but this is where my Kia gets it's warranty work done. They were able to find my warranty easily without having to have the warranty in their hand. They did a great job with my car and even washed it. Everyone there was polite and courteous and I will take my vehicle back there even when the warranty runs out.
Hacienda Grill
I go to Fantasy Nails to get my nails done all the time and my kids get their hair cut there for $8. I have them do my hair for occasions when I have to look good, such as a job interview, when it is last minute and I can't go to my regular stylist. They have a massage chair for when you get a pedicure and they always remember you. It's a great neighborhood spot and they are always busy.
