Big Lots

I like the Big Lots in Shawnee because they have a good selection of so many items. The prices are always reasonable and you find items that you probably won't at other stores. The store was clean and well maintained. I don't like to shop in stores that seem dirty, so this is a big sellng point. It is also well lit inside and out. The staff seemed friendly enough, though not overly helpful.

Fedex Office Print & Ship Ctr

The Kinkos on Metcalf is excellent! They have wonderful staff that give great service. You don't have to wait around before someone notices you and asks if you need help. I recommend getting help the first time so that you know how their system works. The quality of the copies and printouts are fabulous! And it is not too expensive. At times, the place can get pretty busy, so plan to spend a few extra minutes than you think you need just in case.

Argosy Casino

I would recommend the Argosy over the other casinos in the area because it is less crowded. It is also not smoky. They have redecorated and it gives you the Old Mediterranean market feel. The staff is very friendly. I like to play the table games. I like when the people running the tables take the time and talk to you and make you feel welcome. It makes for a better experience than just sitting at a table and staring at the other people.

Children's Place

I love the Children's Place in Olathe. They always have great sales on clothing. It is about the only place I have found where the pants actually fit my daughter correctly. The staff is friendly and helpful, though sometimes it seems they are a bit short-staffed. I have waited before to check out for over 10 minutes. I know it's not their fault, but I still try to go when I don't think there will be much of a crowd! The store is always clean and the clothing is displayed well. But my favorite thing is the sales!!!

T-Mobile

T-Mobile has good prices on their plans, especially their family plans. I have never had a problem being charged for anything that did not belong on my bill. The customer service has always been excellent. The staff has always been able to answer any questions and make suggestions based on my needs. I definitely recommend T-Mobile to friends.

Time Warner Cable

The prices are pretty expensive for cable TV with TWC. I don't have any problems getting all my channels. Occasionally, it will go out for a hour or so, but this is very rare. The customer service is satisfactory, not anything great. When I went to their office to ask some questions, the attendant would not smile and seemed eager to get me out of her line, much like everyone else. If you gotta have cable, it's okay, but not the best.

David's Bridal

This is a bride-on-a-budget's dream come true! They have a great selection of dresses in all sizes, even plus sizes! They also have a great selection of bridesmaids dresses. Some of these could even be a wedding dress for the more simple weddings, when in the right color. The staff is friendly, though you might have to wait a bit longer in the spring when there are more weddings. The location is good and easy to find

Mardel Christian & Education

We like to shop at Mardel for Bibles and other devotional books. They have a great selection of books and videos for children, and a nice children's section where your kids can watch christian videos. They always have good sales, especially around the holidays. They have a nice selection of gifts and artwork.

Foozles Bookstore

I like Foozles because the prices of books are reduced. It is easier to go here and get my kids lots of books without spending an arm and a leg. There is a large selection for adults as well. The only problem I found was that there is no computer system or anything to be able to look up books. The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful, but when I can't remember the name or author of a book, it is near useless to ask them since there is no way or system to find books.

Borders

This is by far one of my favorite book stores! I love to go get a book and relax with one of their coffee drinks. I have also met a few friends here to do homework and use some of the books as reference. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I had no problem returning a book I decided I did not want since I had my receipt. They have a great selection. It is just a relaxing place to be!
