Incredible Pets
This is a nice medium sized pet store located in the Bel Air shopping center at Manzanita and Cypress Avenues. It is a clean store and they have all the usual supplies for your dogs, cats, birds, fish, etc. Plenty of free parking. Helpful and friendly employees.
Sacramento Zoo
This is a fairly good size zoo located at the corner of Sutterville Road and Land Park Drive. You wont find all the animals here that you would find at a larger zoo but the kids will enjoy it. Across from the zoo is Fairytale Town which the kids will also enjoy.
Some people may think it is expensive but if you dont buy anything from the gift shop and look for deals, it isnt so bad.
Paradise Island
Paradise Island is lcoated at the corner of Exposition Boulevard and Ethan Way inside the Cal Expo State fairgrounds. This is a great place to take your kids for amusement rides, bumper boats or arcade games. They have a rock climbing wall as well. Park is available for birthday parties and corporate events. Group rates available.
Anderson Bros Town&cntry Pharm
This is a long-time family owned pharmacy located in the Town and Country Village shopping center at Marconi and Fulton Avenue. You can find all the usual items like toiletries, gifts, candy, cards, wrapping paper, etc. as well as having your prescriptions filled. Plenty of free parking and friendly employees.
Beverages & More
This is one of those huge stores that carry probably everything you could possibly want. They have all the usual items for wines, beer, whiskies, cordials, liquors, vodkas, etc. as well as the more unusual items. No problem finding sodas and snack items. Theres plenty of free parking and friendly employees.
Libbee's Beauty Salon
This place reminds me of barber shops of years ago. There are about 6 stations for haircutting. I used to take my son there when he was in grade school and the barbers spent as much time on his hair as they did the adults. This is a small shop right on Fair Oaks Boulevard and there is plenty of free parking.
Lionakis Beaumont Design Group Incorporated
This is a large architectural firm located in downtown Sacramento. When I worked for a large local utility company, this is one of the main firms with which we did business. They are a professional group, have many employees, and have worked on many large commercial projects in Sacramento and the surrounding areas.
Cameron Ranch School
This school is located on Hackberry between Winding Way and Locust. Cameron Ranch is for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. My son attended this school and it is one of the better elementary schools in the San Juan Unified School District. The school is well maintained and has separate playgrounds for the younger children and the older children. Bus service is also provided for those that are eligible.
Merryhill Schools
This school is located on Eastern Avenue between Marconi and El Camino Avenues. This is a private school with a high tuition. Both of my kids attended this school and I must say they have a very good program and very good teachers. My kids were very happy going here. They are open early in the morning and stay open till around 6:00 p.m.
Ulta 3 Cosmetics
This store is not only a beauty supply store but there is also a salon on premise. The salon not only offers haircuts but also manicures, pedicures, waxing and facials. In addition to beauty products, they sell candles, nail items, perfume, etc. Their beauty products come in an array of lower priced products to higher priced products. Many brands to choose from.
