Sixth Avenue Baptist Church
After a difficult search for a spiritual home, found this congregation and this Pastor. Dr. Pledger has helped revive this 138 year old congregation in the two years since his arrival here from the Nigerian mission field. Attendance has grown from 12 his first Sunday, to an average of 80 - 90 with a high of over 180. Housed in an absolutely spectacular building that invites you to experience the love and commitment to prayer and scripture of this congregation. I must say, thank you, Dr. Pledger for your service to the community. This is a Fundamentalist Independent Baptist Congregation with a balance of Grace and Love. Services 9:45 AM Sunday School; 11:00 AM Worship Service; 6:00 PM Sunday Evening Service; 7:00 PM Wednesday Evening Bible Study.
PROS: Commitment to Bible, outreach to children, personal attention
CONS: Have already started the much needed update to the facilities
