Caruana Judy - Capital Family Physicians
Have been with this practice since it moved from it's orignal building (across from Rex Hospital). The staff is busy, but helpful and pleasant. Schedule your appointments well in advance because it's hard to get in (unless you are REALLY sick). Corrine Griffith is my doctor, in this practice, and I really recommend her.
Sunrise Pediatric Assoc
I selected this practice while pregnant with my first child, not having any other recommendations from friends or family. I initially chose one of the female doctors in the practice, but when I delivered, Dr. Fennell was the attending physician, so he performed the initial visits. I was hooked by his caring and gentle nature. He is a cautious dr but very thorough. I really trust the health of my child to this doctor and practice. The practice is practically across the street from Rex Hospital, so if you are looking for a great ped - look no further.
Children's Orchard
I picked up some cute things for my daughter here, and also managed to find something that I made a profit off of by selling on ebay. I just wish the store was bigger. Prices were better than another Cary consignment shop.
Kid to Kid
I was not impressed with the selection (for the prices that they were charging). I did find some cute clothes, but I put them back when I saw that they wanted practically twice what I would have paid at a thrift shop. Don't know if I would shop here again - maybe, if I needed something that I couldn't find elsewhere and didn't want to pay full retail.
St Mark's United Methodist Chr
This is the first church I attended when I moved to the area. Although I really enjoyed going, I didn't connect and didn't feel like it was my home church. I have since moved and found another church I prefer. They have a great children's program (preschool) and they just recently expanded the children's area.
Lees Tailor Shop
When I needed to get my wedding gown altered, I found this little shop in Crabtree Valley Mall. The parking was not so bad since I parked in the parking deck. The attendants were busy, but took their time with me and my dress. The turn around time was phenominal and I couldn't have been more pleased with how the dress turned out. The cost wasn't high either, so I would recommend this shop.
Bridal Mart
While they have a HUGE selection of gowns, they are lacking in personal attention (something you'd get in a smaller type bridal shop). The selection for plus size dresses was bigger than most bridal shops, but still not very big. I did not end up getting my dress here, but I would have if I had not found a better deal on ebay.
Honeymoon Resort
This company is a sister company (I think) to the Chapel in the Glades. We stayed in one of these cabins for our honeymoon. While the cabin was perfect for two, the couch was a bit small (not really made for 2 people). The hot tub on the covered porch was WAY too small, and my husband and I displaced a lot of water getting in (meaning we had to refill it every time we got out).
The place was clean and they supplied wood for the fireplace (although when we went, it was too warm, we still used the fireplace anyway).
Chapel In The Glades
My husband and I got married here almost 5 years ago, and it seem like yesterday. The staff was very helpful, and we were able to create our own package (I did not want their cheesy bouquet nor the 2-person wedding cake). The video production (of the ceremony) left something to be desired - the lense used was a fish-eye, so things are distorted, and my husband's aunt was sitting close to the camera, so we got a GREAT shot of the back of her head.
The photographer wasn't to thrilled when I asked for specific shot ( but he did them anyway).
All in all, it was a good place to get married.
Edible Art
Went to Edible Art with 2 co-workers to pick out a cake for a baby shower. The samples were absolutely great, I don't think I have had cake that good since. The prices, however, were a bit high. I don't think I would buy a cake from them for a birthday - seeing that the cost is too high.
