Vito Esposito - Hair Stylist
this is a very classy -- and very expensive -- hair salon. when i have a special occasion (wedding or black tie event), this is where i go to get my hair done. they do a great job with hair color, too.
Ball Beauty Supplies
they have a pretty complete selection of beauty supply products and their prices are very competitive. parking can be difficult sometimes, though. also, the place could use a remodel! the staff is helpful -- especiallly if you need help with hair dying products!
Ralphs Pharmacy
we get some of our prescriptions at ralphs pharmacy now. you put in the prescription before you start shopping. by the time you are ready to leave, your prescription is ready! they will bend over backwards to find a way that your insurance can cover the cost. the pharmacy staff is very nice and very professional.
Grove Pacific Theatres
this is our favorite movie theatre in town. first of all, all of the seating is stadium seating -- which means there is never anyone blocking your view. second of all, they have fantastic popcorn. only bad thing is that since there are no more validations, you have to pay for parking.
Nordstrom
nordstrom is the first rate dept. store. they have superior quality items. their prices are bit high, but the quality makes up for it. they also have a generous return policy. they validate parking at the grove -- which is a big plus.
PETCO
we love this petco. we have been shopping there for about 5 years now. the staff is very understanding and helpful. we love to buy fish there. sometimes we go just to check out the birds and reptiles. the store is always clean and cheerful.
Tapia Bros
this is where we go for fresh corn -- as soon as it is in season each year. we have been going there for about 5 years. they prices are competitive, but the corn is fresher than anywhere else. it's sweet as sugar! it's worth the drive!
Farmers Mkt
we love to go to the farmers market -- to shop around, to purchase produce, to sit a relax, to hear weekly jazz music, to people watch! the prices are relatively reasonable and the produce is the freshest in town! there is ample parking which is free for 2 hours with a validation.
