Go for the beer. Go for the pizza. But dont go for a great dining experience. The menu tries to do too much. Just avoid anything you wouldnt order at a pizza joint. That being said they do have some decent appetizers and their great beer makes everything taste much better. Fun place to go with a group and grab a pitcher and a couple of pizzas. Service is friendly and accomodating.
My favorite pho shop in IRvine. Much better than Pho 99 on walnut. They have two locations and I prefer the newer one on Michelson as opposed to the older one on Barranca. It has a larger dining room, the parking lot is more accessible and the staff is friendlier. The pho is even better at the Michelson location. Good value (great being reserved for Bolsa prices), but since it is in Irvine $6 isnt too much for a bowl of pho. Their curry is also pretty good.
Very good dim sum, esepcially for Irvine! Can get very crowded on weekends so show up early and be prepared to wait. Another tip, try to not get the side room since the cart service to those rooms is slow and you will often be offered stale dim sum that was rejected by everyone else. The steamed buns are great and if you want to splurge ask for the whole crab (not a dim sum item...but worth the value)
Although its a chain its convenient and offers something for everyone. The menu covers a range of different cuisines and for that reason it can easily accomodate the pickiest of eaters. Good for dates though the wait can often be in excess of an hour and they do not take reservations. PRobably the best thing here is their burgers...or the bread that comes when you sit.
Has great tempura and noodles. The sushi and sashimi is so so, not great but nothing to go out of your way for. The major inhibition to go to this place is the fact that they do not accept reservatins so it can often be a long long wait.
Many people love this place but I am convinced that their portions are too small and prices too high. They charge you for all substitutions, even $2 to switch out chips for a SIMPLE side salad for your sandwich. The salad choices are very limited too. I would recommend this place just for the bakery goods, especially the breads.
This place is a gem. The food is great and you dont even miss the meat. Must try the BBQ chicken. The prices are fair and the service is very friendly. I have tried many things on the menu and havent been disapointed yet.
I love going here for a quick lunch. The salads are always crisp and fresh with plently of veggie choices to spruce up the ordinary salad. The soups are pretty good though the pastas are pretty pathetic. Make sure you indulge in the bakers good though
Great place to go and get family sized, red sauce style italian food. The wait can be long but its worth it. The food isnt great but still a good place to go and get your fill of italian food. Favorite dish there is the lasagne...hmmm
This is a good local place to satisfy a craving for pho. The restuarant is in a very busy center and parking can be difficult. The pho is good but not great and the prices are a couple of dollars higher than westminster prices. The beef man mi is also pretty good and a god value to boot. All said though, I would rather eat here than drive all the way to Bolsa.
