Baskin Robbins has the best ice cream of any ice cream chain. They also have tons of cakes and pies, usually chocolate, that all taste delicious. The prices are a bit high for ice cream but they are delicious and offer lots of topping choices.
TCBY has great frozen yogurt. They also have lots of cakes and pies, usually chocolate, that all taste delicious,. They also have some of the best tasting smoothies around since they actually use their yogurt and fresh fruit.
This is a great community pool, available to residents and their guests only. I believe it is free or at least it used to be. There's a pool, diving area, and kiddie pool as well as a large playground outside the gates of the pool area. They also recently put in fountains and water slides into the pool and put a little kiddie water park area. Very neat for kids and families..
Remax is a great real estate company, no matter what branch / location you are dealing with. But let me tell you this - you are all so incredibly lucky to be living in the Houston area. I am not sure if there is anyplace else where you can get a brand new home for the price you pay. Since moving to various places across the country, you would not believe the crappy houses that ONE MILLION DOLLARS will get you. I was shocked to see the prices after living someplace like Houston. In other places an average ONE-STORY 20-year-old home will cost you $500,000-700,000, when in most parts of suburban Houston (like Katy and Cypress) homes are lowest $80,000 and highest 200,000 .. which makes home ownership accessible to almost anyone, even with the low Texas minimum wage..
Much better than Krispy Creme (they just load on the sugar and seem wet and sloppy). Shipley's donuts are warm, fresh, and DELICIOUS. I miss having Shipley's donuts every morning, they should put more locations across the country.
The Harris County libraries are all excellent, somewhat old but so are alot of things in Katy/Cypress area. They have great selections of books, lots of computers for anyone to use, and many many programs for kids of all ages. Great place to join groups and programs for young children. (Puppet plays, book readings, movie nights, etc.)
I'm surprised this hasn't been reviewed already.. There were certain things about the school enivironment here that I won't get into, but the education is excellent and the schools are mostly new, safe and clean. Lots of activites and teams to join, and Cy-Fair keeps winning all sorts of awards. Some of the schools feel somewhat cold and informal though, like a college or office building. Just be sure to check out the environment and make sure it's something your kids will be happy in, because it's not for everyone.
MMMM I miss Sonic.. where I live now there are no locations nearby. Sonic has great food and the service is unique and fun, especially at night. You can chose to eat in your car, or sit at a few tables outside under a covered area. The food is excellent, the best tater tots and milkshakes/smoothies ever.
Fudruckers is great for familes, teens, youth teams and other groups. It's good to have a party for a baseball/soccer/basketball/etc. team, and it's great for lunch. The food is like burger king (burgers and fries) but more selection and better tasting. I think there's also a small arcade.
I love IHOP much better than any other breakfast place.. like Denny's.. Denny's is cheap and it's food tastes cheap.. IHOP is somewhat more pricey but has much better taste and much better variety/selection. The furit waffles and pancakes are excellent. At lunch/dinner they have other items like baked potatoes, hamburger, and other meats.
