A great place to see live acts, the Barclay is a boon to the Southern California cultural scene. Though expensive, this venue showcases brilliant talent, and is to be thoroughly explored.
Unlike it's sister venue, the Coach House in San Clemente. the Galaxy is a good place to see a band, with solid acoustics and reasonable prices. Beware of the bouncers, though.
In the middle of upscale Newport Beach is a real, honest to God Army surplus store, right down to the gas masks and fake grenades. Worth checking out if only to see the prop armored car from an 80s movie they keep chained up outside
Children's Orchard is a boon to people with young children; a great way of turning those clothes that children have grown out of into outfits that fit. Their prices are reasonable and their exchanges fair; and they stock toys as well.
Newport Beach has put it's tax base to excellent use here - this is a truly great library, with new books to rival Borders or Barnes and Noble, helpful staff, and plenty of quiet comfortable reading areas.
For adults, the selection is mostly 2-3 year old bestsellers, but the kids section is very good, and you will come across odd little books signed by the author and dedicated to the children of Huntington Beach
The Huntington Beach library, and the central library branch in particular, is a real asset to the city of Huntngton Beach. Beautifully set in Central Park, it has an extremely good collection, as well as helpful and friendly staff.
Thorough knowledgeable firm who will do your taxes right. That can be found a lot of places, but even during the biggest crunch, they still make sure the answer s right and the work is done. They were my 3rd try at an accountant, and I've been there 5 years.
A decent store, but everything you need can be found at the Sports Page Soccedr Warehouse in Fountain Valley, with better quality ,better selection, and a better price.
Great prices coupled with unbelievable quality. You'll find buyers from every great restaurant in Newport here every morning. Just follow them and buy what they're buying...and pick up some Rusty's chips while you're at it.
