Sweetie Sweetie LLC
This is the neighborhood bakery you want in your neighborhood. Dave, the owner and baker, has a real talent as a baker and is frequently trying new and interesting items. This fall he celebrated the Mexican holiday of "Day of the Dead" by baking traditional Mexican bread and creating sugar skulls that several school classes decorated with frosting in the traditional way of Mexican Skeleton art. They were then displayed in the bakery for the weeks following the holiday. You can always find a delicious treat at Sweetie Sweetie!
PROS: Small bakery, one baker, friendly neighborhood place.
CONS: Sometimes runs out of items if you don't get there early.
Allegheny & Chesapeake Pt Inc
This office of Allegheny Chesapeake is a small office with one Physical Therapist, Scott Rosen, MPT, a PT aide and the secretary. Because it is small, it is very comfortable and personable, and you always get personal attention. You never feel like "just another body" passing through. Scott is an excellent therapist and really tailors your program for your whole health, not just the body part that is getting treated. It's A+ in my book!
PROS: Individual attention, focused care, small, comfortable environment
CONS: Hard to find parking nearby. Usually have to walk about a 1/2 block

I highly recommend her, especially if you are having any gynecological problems.

Mike Jones Floor Co
Mike Jones is a second generation floor sander and runs his own company. There speciality is refinishing hardwood floors and work in both homes and businesses. Our home required not only sanding, but repairing many holes left by the previous owner. Because we own an older home which had quarter swan hardwood, the missing pieces could only be replaced from wood taken from another older home. Mike's company not only found matching wood, but their replacement was so well done, the places where plywood had once stood out are not even visible. We had to move out while they did three rooms at a time, but it was worth the effort - not only in price, but in quality as well. Highly recommended.
PROS: Excellent quality work, reasonable rates.
CONS:
Construction Junction
Construction Junction is a unique facility which provides the opportunity of both donating and purchasing used and new construction and home repair materials. All donations are tax deductable due to it's non-profit status. Items are available that are new (leftover materials from new construction,) or used (such as doors or windows that are being replaced,) all at a very reasonable rate. Outside of the facility are recycling bins for all sorts of items such as cardboard, phonebooks, junk mail, glass, plastic, newspaper and magazines. One never knows what treasures can be found inside, but it is always an interesting shopping adventure!
PROS: Wonderful place dedicated to reducing waste and providing low cost material
CONS: Huge warehouse, sometimes hard to find things.
Bellisario's Auto Body
Joe Bellasario's Auto body shop is a small repair shop that was founded and run by the owner. Joe does not do the repair work himself, but has excellent mechanics and auto body repair specialists who do. His quotes are fair and will meet most insurance quotes, and the work his shop does is first class. Not only that, but he does the work quickly and works with Enterprise leasing to provide a leased vehicle if you need one while yours is in the shop. Joe is a man of few words, but his work speaks for itself.
PROS: Reasonable rates, speedy repair, excellent work.
