I love Dr. Jones. She is a wonderful dentist and even makes the most PAINFUL experiences o.k. I have been there for whitening, fillings, etc. and have have nothing but positive things to say. The entire staff is very nice!
PROS: Location, Great Service & Staff
CONS: Sometimes my visits involve PAIN
Celadon is located in Metro Center, a block from the Metro.
It sells a wide-array of men's and women's grooming products and also provides great services like haircuts, color, nails, waxing, skincare, etc. Check their website to see if they offer what you need. Service is great and the interior is beautiful. Services can be a little on the expensive side, though.
PROS: Location, Great Service
The French phrase "Coup de Foudre" (pronounced koo de fudr), means "love at first sight". Coup de Foudre Lingerie targets sophisticated Washingtonians searching for stylish European lingerie.
If your willing to shell out some money for lingerie, this is the place to go! The staff is extremely helpful (especially if you are buying for someone else!). A+
PROS: Great Selection of High Quality Products
This is the best Tex-Mex that you can find in DC, if you ask me. They have great burritos, burgers, tacos, fajitas, etc.
Also, great happy hours specials. Nice beer and margarita selection.
Service is generally good, too.
PROS: Location, Service, Fair Prices
Seriously ... Go somewhere else.
This location is horrible because: (i) it is always crowded, (ii) there are always shady people in/around it, (iii) they are always out of stuff [products and prescriptions[, and (iv) the staff there acts like they are doing you a really big favor when they're just doing their jobs. F-
CONS: Out of Stock items, Lazy Staff
This errand/personal service can take care of your housecleaning; gutter and lawn care; shopping; gift selection, wrapping, and delivery; home organizing; packing and unpacking; party planning; house and pet sitting; and companion care, etc, in the DC area.
Rates: $17.50 to $45 an hour.
I have used them several times and it is worth every penny.
PROS: Saves Your Time, Trustworthy
CONS: Can Be Pricey
This Penn Quarter store caters to the young and the hip in this newly trendy part of town. Lots of colorful couches and ultra-modern pieces.
However, you really need a lot of cash to shop here. I can't afford a thing.
PROS: Modern and Fun Furniture
CONS: Very Expensive
This store has a great selection of Dutch and British Colonial furniture. It is owned by a former Foreign Service officer and his wife and they go on shopping expeditions every years.
They have lots of unusual pieces and accessories from Burma, India and Thailand. Folk-art aficionados will like their selection of wooden artifacts.
PROS: Unique furniture selection
Lunch and Dinner Done Right.
Andale cooks up the comtemporary cuisine of Mexico in a trendy corner of DC's downtown arts district. Located in Penn Quarter, this restaurant has some authentic food and great margaritas. Take the Metro to Penn Quarter/Navy Memorial and enjoy!
PROS: Good food, consistent service
It's hard to find liquor stores downtown. This one has a huge selection of wine, beer, liquor, and mixers. The owners are friendly and the staff is also very helpful. Prices are average, but in this part of town, there's not a lot of options if you need something in a hurry!
PROS: Downtown location
CONS: Average prices
