Frogtown Books Inc
Frogtown Books has a good selection of older used books, rare books, special editions, and autographed books. The employees are polite and helpfull. They are willing to go the extra distance to find what you want. The best thing about frogtown books is that they have a web site where you can check to see if they have a particular book available, or see how much you could get for one you have.

Mercy St. Anne Hospital
My experience with Saint Annes has been limited, but I was highly impressed by the care my child recieved there. The nurses were fantastic, and responed to his needs every time, and the doctor we dealt with was great with kids which was a big help. The entire visit was orchestrated to be as easy on him and me as possible.
PROS: Fantastic nurses and doctors, process made easy

ProMedica Toledo Hospital
The Toledo Hospital is an okay choice, allthough I would sugest if you can go to one of the many other hospitals in the area you do so. They have good enough staff and care, and certainly have plenty of rooms. I just don't believe they stand up to other hospitals such as Saint Vincents. I had some major problems with the billing department, but I also had a great operation and recovery.

CONS: not as good as other available hospitals, billing can be a mess
Nickelworld
The concept of this place is you pay a small fee to get in (it was only a couple dollars the last time I went), then all the arcade games are only a nickle each. The place is a huge favorite for birthday parties, and it's a good place for the family to go. It's pretty stuffed in there which can be a pain, but they also have a lot of games which really makes up for a little jostling.
PROS: Price, fun, lots of games
CONS: Not enough room
Pet Supplies Plus
Pet Supplies Plus is a great place to get quality pet supplies at good prices. While you are there you can pick up pet, get him groomed, get his tags made, and every Christmas you can even waste money on pictures of your little darling. They have a good range of animals with mice, ferrets, snakes, cats, birds, and all kinds of other animals. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a vareity of supplies for instance they have almost an entire row devoted to rodent cages.

Sundance Kid Drive-In
if you have ever been to a drive in movie then you can picture the Sundance Kid Drive In. There are the normal advantages such as hearing only the people in your car, eating whatever you please, and disadvantages like needing a good car battery to use your car radio for two movies in a row, only seeing movies at night and not being able to go on rainny nights. Sundance also has two for one movie prices, and children don't pay even for kid movies!
PROS: free for kids, two movies for one price, no talking neighbors, take food in
CONS: dependent on weather, need to use own car radio
Toledo Lucas County Public Library Administration Offices Facilities & Operations
The public library here is pretty darn good. It has a great book and magazine selection as well as a large number of dvds, vhs tapes and cds. The library was enlarged around five years ago and they added a cafe, tons of computers (there must be at least a hundred computers now), and a fun childrens library on the second floor. The children's library has it's own computers with learning programs on them, a large variety of books, and a play area designed to let kids learn and have fun at the same time.
PROS: great selection, fun for the kids, good service
CONS: might need another bathroom
Cake Arts Supply LLC
If you like to mix art with bakeing this is the best place to get all those cake decorating supplies you'll need. They have just about everything you'll need from icing tips to backing pans. The friendly helpfull staff is willing to help you in any way they can. If they don't have something you are looking for then they will try to get it or help you figure out where to find the item. prices are not that bad either, especially for a small buisness like this one.

Zoo Library
The Toledo Zoo is a lot of fun if a little pricey. They have spent lots of time and money on the new Africa Exibit which opened last year, and it was worth it. The area is beautifull, and taking the train thru the animals' enclosure is tons of fun. I was really surprised when I moved here to see just how big and nice the zoo was and it's only gotten larger and more impressive since then. The little things make this zoo fun, like walking of the highway bridge to get from one side of the zoo to the other. The kids love going over the bridge where they can hear the Zooing It song, and figure out which foot prints belong to which animals. I also like eating in the Carnivor Cafe which once housed big cats and still has the old caged area intact so you can eat in the cat cage. They have great landscapeing, lots of stuff to do all year, and hold a number of concerts at their amphatheatre. The only problem with the zoo is price. $9.00 per adult and $6.00 per child over 2 just to get in, but Mondays have free wntrance for locals, and their membership prices is very generous.

New Channey Flats Townhomes
New Cheney Flats is plagued by poor quality construction, noise pollution, too much trash for the one trash can, gates that don't work, too few parking spaces, and little response by the management when people break rules which happens almost daily.
They do have some big things in their favor though. They are located in a pretty good spot with a hospital, medical and dental centers, schools, banks, the large downtown library, and near a number of bus routes. Also the price is good, and if you qualify with low income the prices are hard to beat for what you get. They have three bedroom apartments which are hard to find, and come with central air and dish washers.
PROS: location, price, C/A and dishwashers
CONS: noise pollution, poor construction, little managerial response
