La Moderna Poesia
This is a no-frills bookstore that initially seems kind of bland compared to Barnes & Noble or Borders. But once you start looking at the selection, you forget all about the lack of an in-house coffee shop. You can find all sorts of Spanish-language books that you're not going to easily find anywhere else. Besides politically-charged literature (we're dealing with Cubans, who have a lot to say about politics!), there are classics and modern literature as well. This is a great place to find a treasure!
Pets Mart
This is my favorite place to shop for work clothes, shoes, and gifts. I've found 9West bags, Anne Klein shoes, and Eric Carle books for my niece. Even perfume is a good deal at Marshall's. Sometimes you have to sort through lots of junky stuff, and there are times when other patrons are pushy and rude, but that's part of the whole experience. When you find an Express top for $10 that you saw in the store for $50, it's all suddenly worth it.
Charlotte Russe
This is another one of those stores where you can get a lot for your money. I don't buy my church clothes here, but for going out or hanging out, I could get my whole wardrobe at Charlotte Russe. I've found cute accessories and shoes, also. They have good sales all the time, and lots of variations on a certain style, so you're probably going to find what you want here.
Fashion 21
I'm a college student, so I really like this store because I can get lots of clothes at great prices. The quality is sometimes not that great, but for going-out clothes, it's the best. There are shoes and accessories, as well. The store is divided up into styles- dresses, sporty, sexy... I spend hours everytime I go.
Miami Twice
I've been shopping at this store for years. It's a great place to get really unique, vintage clothing items and accessories. I've found clothes for costume parties, as well as special events. The store itself has that "cool" feel, and it's a place where local films have searched for wardrobe pieces! I highly recommend this place, but only if you have plenty of time to browse.
