I like lamps plus for their selection of lighting fixtures. They carry both modern and vintage style lamps and fixtures to cater to all tastes. Although a little disorganized, one can easily find what they are looking for my asking the associates. This store is a very good start if you are looking for fixtures.
This store is one of my most favorites and the best bloomingdales I have seen so far. They carry completely different brands than the other stores. And I have never seen so many colors in Lacoste or polo in any of their other stores. Also, available are Sean Jean brand that's not available in any other bloomindale. It's worth checking them out for fashion ideas.
This motel is not as unattractive as the name. It is very close to the airport with decent facilities. the rooms are of a good size, with plenty of fresh air. If you are lucky you might get one which overlooks the bay. rates are very reasonable, considering it's the bay area and you may get a deep discount if you book on the internet. They also give out coupons that you can use after 5 nights of stay that makes it even cheaper. It's conviniently loacted from restaurants and they have good service. A very decent place to stay if you are travelling.
It's a small store in sunnyvale, very non descript from outside. As the name suggests, they carry groceries from Bangladesh. They have lots of varieties of frozen fish (koi, pabda, rui, chital, ilish) and also carry mustard oil. They often keep bengali sweets, although these sell too fast. They sell fresh halal meat and you can get them cut according to your needs. Good store for local bengali's and indians.
If you like fresh veggies at really cheap prices Wards is the place to go. They carry some asian veggies too. Their prices are much better than the supermarkets. I am not sure of the fish, but they have good meat too, often at rediculously low prices. If you are there on a sunday morning, check out their BBQ outside. They also carry lots of different herbs in small pots that can make a nice kitchen garden.
I used to visit them everyday. It's a small coffee shop just a small walk from the university of florida, and serves delicious bakery and very good coffee. Staff is young, friendly and takes good care of the coffee they make. They have computers if you would like to check your mail and nice couches to hang out. they also have a nice open space at the back where one could just sit back and relax. Just love the place.
Located in stanford shopping center, it's perhaps the most pretentious "boutique". The store smells nice, but that's about it. All products are extraordinarily high priced. The staff would welcome you with a "bonjour", but their french stops there. :)
They carry lots of soaps, fragrances for the home, lotions, body milk etc, but their prices do not justify what they carry. There are many other stores in the same mall to go to.
I visit this store time to time especially when I am looking for travelling gadgets . They have very nice neck pillows, money belts, thermos flasks, portable hair dryeres etc. There are usually a few types to choose from and you pay much less than what you would pay to buy from travel magazines. The store is always cool as they have all those fan models on!
