This store carries the best array of vintage wear for costumers, swing kids, or just fashion hipsters. They give a discount to theater costumers, which is a great bonus for the starving artist.
watch out for the chihuahua at the front desk. :)
RMCF is now in business with South Bend Chocolate Company. Which is great, but what I go there for are the most amazing caramel apples. Stop in and grab one, then stroll the circle and the downtown mile.
Or try a frozen chocolate covered banana. Yum!
Easily found off 465 and 71st street, Wingate Inn is designed as a business traveller's hotel. It was built less than 5 years ago, so it's still nice and fresh. It has internet access and all you'd expect from a business class hotel. But there is also an indoor pool, great rates, and an amazing breakfast, including pour your own waffles!
It's within walking distance of a pub, a Max and Erma's, and a LePeep if you're not into making your own waffles.
There are about 8 lanes in the basement of the Fountain Square Theater for Duck Pin bowling. A tiny ball that looks like a shotput and tiny pins to throw it at. They have a snack bar as well. It's a pay per hour game that anyone can enjoy. We had a blast there with groups in college, as well as since then (we went there after my couples baby shower and had a blast!)
We took groups here in college. Cosmic bowl at night is especially fun. Fair prices, mostly clean facilities. It *is* a bowling alley, so expect some funky shoe smell and lane oil, but overall a safe place to bring your family for an afternoon in or bring a group for partying.
I brough my dog several times to be washed/groomed by Andrea and her folks at the Village Dog. They did a great job for a fair price. Petsmart is a bit cheaper, but this is a bit more personal. They don't have as wide spanning hours as some, but if you live near Broad Ripple, this is a great place to take your pooch.
I actually had a bunch of charms attached to a bracelet permanently at Rudy's. They work quickly, do a great job, and
are reasonably priced.
I have also had them replace some watch batteries.
I would definitely give them a look.
This is a store for people who baby their dogs. Or their babies are their dogs. Or both.
Evidenced by the photos of their canine customers all over the walls, these folks love their furry friends.
You can get boxes of homemade treats, or you can buy a la carte from the display case. Carob, peanut butter, etc. make my mouth water, but alas...it's for Fido.
Your pet is also welcome into the store.
I go to Bokay any time I need flowers right now, delivered, or for pickup. They have a great selection for a smaller shop, and do nice arranging for a good price. I highly recommend walking in and and speaking with the designer. THey are awesome.
Getting my first ink, I was petrified. The artist took his time with me, made sure I was okay with the design and placement, even welcomed my husband and best friend back into the studio to hold my hand. :)
This is located on Broad Ripple's main drag, and you will see many a pierced/tattooed body going in and out of this place, but even a suburbanite like me was very comfortable and happy with the result.
