Once I finally forted out getting the appointment by playing a few weeks of phone tag, I must say that the office staff is kind, and Dr. Roudebush is amazing. He's willing to listen, tries all sorts of methodology to help you, and is interested in hearing your ideas when it comes to your treatment. Not something you find much anymore in today's HMO world.
With a minimum four guests, you can reserve your very own BAB salesperson to run a birhday party for you. You set the price limit, starting at $10 a child, and they help you select, stuff, dress and name your stuffed animal. Everyone goes home with something, the birthday child gets a pillow signed by the other kids. We chose to do $20 a child, which got them an animal and an outfit.
Being 8 months pregnant at the time, I appreciated "farming it out" more than ever. I would highly suggest this. Do it very early if you do it on a weekend, the place gets packed by lunchtime.
With ladies night (free tickets) on Wednesday and College ID night on Thursday, half of this town has no excuse not to check out Crackers.
BIg and small name talent, but always three comedians. Two item minimum, but you can still get out for under ten bucks apiece.
We laughed till our sides were sore, and can't wait to come back for more.
The set up is a bit strange downtown, as the room is very long, with the stage on the long side of the house. Broad Ripple actually has a more "open room" concept.
I felt terrible when Starbucks moved in next door to Stanton Coffee. I thought it would run them out of business. I'm so glad they have kept their base. They are actually growing! They are putting a wireless cafe in the back this summer.
You can get anything here they make at the "other" place, plus it costs less and tastes better.
Support a local brewer. Check out Stanton.
Even if no one sings, Karen will entertain you. She is the embodiment of Janis Joplin. She has a great presence, and manages to help everyone believe they have a voice with which to sing. Maybe not a rockstar like Karen, but a voice nonetheless. Email her...set her up for your gig. She's worth it.
This is actually a "dumping ground" for the Target on 38th street. Many tagged items can be found, once Target deems it "unsellable". It is clean and easy to navigate.
Watch for their periodic 1/2 price Saturdays.
This isn't my favorite of the Goodwills. I agree with the previous reviewer...It's cluttered and hard to navigate, as well as overpriced on many of the furniture and the like donations.
Take the time to drive down to Lafayette Road. Much nicer store.
This location does the "reel moms" program weekly for mothers to bring their babies in (they keep the lights at half, and there's no worry your baby will scream any louder than anyone else's)
They also run free kids movies all summer long.
Clean theater, nice employees
I love to wander around Sue's Hallmark in the Kroger Plaza on 71st street. They have all the typical statues and cards, but they also have great jewelry, gifts, candles, fun purses and scarves, etc.
If I need something fun and unusual, I can find it here.
Pretty good priced lunch specials, and is mostly smoke free. Typical pub fare, but good sized portions and fair prices
Easy to locate in a strip mall just north of Michigan at 86th.
