It doesn't matter what time of day I call, the staff at the 56th street Papa Murphy's is friendly and knowledgeable.
They remember me when I call, act like an old friend when I pick up, and continue to offer special deals locally that really help when I'm in a dinner pinch.
Their pizza rivals any homemade I've made, as well as any takeout I've tried. Comparative pizzas pre-cooked and picked up lukewarm cost twice as much.
A designer worked with us on our wedding sets over 6 years ago, and we continue to be impressed with Patora. They have beautiful selection, as well as impressive estate and antique jewelry.
Mostly, I am impressed with their customer service. I had what looked like a flaw on my ring, and brought it in with no receipt or anything. It was a specially designed piece, so they had no way of knowing if it were actually purchased from them or not. The representative was very helpful, took the ring to the back, took some time to fix the flaw, gave me helpful advice on how to prevent it from happening again, and sent me off with a smile and a free jar of jewelry cleaner.
I will be going to them for ANY future needs and purchases.
My daughter has been in several daycares since birth, due to job changes, etc. She has attended Montessori Centres since she turned three, and is completing her second year. I can't say enough good things about them. The building is an older converted home, but they have all the proper instructional tools and fantastic teachers that may make up for the lack of a "snazzy" and "showy" facility.
The director comes from a line of Montesorri teachers, and does fantastic job with her school. A diverse classroom is what you'll find, as well as diverse parenting represented. The teachers do a great job catering to individual needs, while still running a tight enough ship that real work gets done there every day.
I fear my child being bored when she attends public kindergarten next fall!! She is already reading, knows a lot of basic geography, science and mathematic skills. She has also developed social skills outside of playtime. She is polite and greets adults in a proper manner, shaking hands. Things I can't imagine being taught in a general daycare setting.
The school has two classrooms, a Pre-K with a mix of children ages 3-5, and a primary room with children 6-9.
We switched to Dr. Brinson after spending too many years with an HMO dentist who found less than 15 seconds to spend with us after the cleaning. Dr. Brinson started my first visit by taking 18 (!) xrays, doing the full cleaning herself, and a full oral exam. She did the same for my five year old daughter.
When it was recommended that I either crown or fill a tooth, she ran me through pros and cons of each, citing exact costs and didn't try to encourage one procedure over the other, though the profit levels were vastly different to her.
I can't recommend her highly enough. She's kind and gentle, thorough and patient, as well as reasonably priced for doing all the "grunt" work herself.
