DeScenzas is a nice jewelry chain. Formerly they were only in downtown Boston, but this branch is on the North Shore. They carry a lot of items and have competitive prices. Their selection is very pretty and their showroom is large and well lit. The staff is average.
Dandi Lyons is an excellent place for flowers. They also sell ice cream during the summer and Christmas trees during the holidays. On all three items, they are one of the least expensive options. Their flowers are just as beautiful as a florist and very affordable. ($7 for a dozen roses most of the time). The ice cream is also cheap and the Christmas Trees are the best prices around.
The Post Office location is excellent. It is open a lot of hours, and it also has a lobby with self-service post office. The staff is quite friendly and gets the line moving quickly. It is a rather large location, and can have 4 or 5 registers open at once. The employees are the best Post Office employees Ive ever encountered. The lines can get long, but will move quickly.
We love this Kohls location. They always have fantastic sales. Their regular prices are a little high, but they almost never charge their regular prices. You can usually get offseason clothes in the clearance section for 70% off. The dressing rooms are usually a mess, because so many people try on a bunch of clothes and dump them. Their staff tried to keep on top of it, but it is usually messy. The rest of the store is always clean and bright.
This sporting goods store is both usual and unique. They carry the usual assortment of sports and outdoor equipment, at average to slightly high prices. The difference is the building and the rock wall. The buildings entire front is made of glass, which adds a very unique feel. They also have a 2-story rock wall for customers to try. You have to join their club to climb the wall, but that is free, and then climbing the wall is free. They provide all the equipment and guides. My husband and my 7 year old son love to try it.
Childrens Orchard is an excellent place to buy childrens clothing and toys resale. This location is excellent. They sell only impeccably clean items and have great brand names. They always have a good assortment of items for baby up to early teenagers. I have bought many of my childrens clothes here since they were born, and I never would have thought of buying used clothes. Its an excellent way to get great clothes affordably.
This store has a large clothing section and a large home goods section. It is a nice combination of items for the home and apparel. The store is always clean and bright and the staff seems to be friendly and efficient. The parking can be difficult because the store is located in a small mall with limited parking.
This Marshalls is located in a plaza in Stoneham. The same employees have worked there for many years. They tend to be older woman who are a little cranky. The store has a good selection of affordable brand name clothes and accessories. They have a lot of cute girls clothes, their selection of boys clothes is fair, but not excellent. This is a great store to buy computer software programs for children. Excellent prices on software.
This Walgreens location is large with ample parking and a drive-through pharmacy. Walgreens has their own brand, so there are often excellent prices on varied goods. They have great prices on Walgreens brand batteries. They carry everything from diapers to drugs to ice cream.
This CVS location is small, but has a good selection despite its size. The pharmacy is located at the back of the store, and there is an entrance right next to the pharmacy for those who just need to run in and pick up a prescription. The line to pick up prescriptions can get long, because they allow people to purchase items at the pharmacy as well. This CVS is located in Reading Square.
