Hannaford
This is a large grocery store, with good prices, and it's very clean. The people that work there are well trained and efficient. It is a pleasure to shop there, I can find everything I need and am out of there quickly. I would recommend this grocery store to someone whether they needed one thing, or a months worth of groceries.
Stewart's Shop
I really like Stewart's shops, as a general rule, they are clean and have great soda- this is no exception. A nice little convient store, the staff is usually very friendly, although sometimes at this one that can be a gamble. No one is ever outright mean, just sometimes not very friendly. still, they have great prices for a convient store...
Petsmart
I don't know why this is listed as a grocery store, it most certainly is not. It is a pet supplies store, and a decent one. The prices are okay, the staff is friendly, and the selection is decent. The store is clean. Nothing to rave about, nothing to hate, is what it all comes down to. Nothing super impressive about the store, but there's no reason to hate it, and I would recommend it if someone in town needed something for their pet.
Foodtown Of Cold Spring
This Foodtown is really, really expensive. It's the only grocery store in this little town, and they really jack up the prices because of this. The staff is not overly mean, if not friendly; the store isn't too large, but it isn't suffocatingly small. The parking lot is a nice size for the Plaza it is in. i just wouldn't recommend it to do intense grocery shopping- too high prices, not a terribly large selection, and wal*mart is just 15 minutes away...
Super Stop & Shop
Stop and Shop is generally more expensive than the places around it, and sadly this is no exception to that rule. But the staff is pretty friendly, and checkout is usually very quick. The store itself is pretty big and clean and there's a lot of diverse items, not just limited to groceries. There's also books, magazines, and videos as well. A pretty decent one-stop kind of place.
Stewart's Shop
Stewart's shops are just great and can't be talked about enough - they are so clean and hire such friendly people. The store is not too large and doesn't offer a huge array of items, but it's good enough for a convient store and they have their amazing store-name-brand soda, which is just delciious. You can get some really good sales here...
Hopewell Hose Co
This grocery store seems to have been steadily declining as grand union went out of business. I dont even think it's a grand union anymore, I think it's a foodtown. The prices are high, the people are like, friendly if you are friendly to them, but in general the store doesn't offer very much.
Shop Rite Supermarket
This is a decent little supermarket - there isnt too much to bash about or exclaim about. It serves generally needs, and the people are usually mostly friendly. The prices are pretty good and occasionally there are really good sales, but that's pretty much a hit or miss, generally. Still, a decent place to go grocery shopping.
Price Chopper Market Center
This is a nice supermarket, sometimes the floor is a little dirty, but the people that work there are generally very nice and the prices are more than reasonable. The store is pretty conviently located, and it has a generally nice atmosphere about it. I like to shop here whenever I'm on that side of the river.
Stewarts Shops
Like most convient stores, this stewarts shop carries milk, egss, soda, chips, etc., and other items that you might need on a spur of the moment basis. They, the stewarts chain in general, offers a great line of self-name-brand soda. This store is clean most of the time and the staff is friendly! Prices are decent.
