Angel Stadium
I've been coming to Angel Stadium lately because it is closer to where I live than Dodger Stadium. It seems overall clean, and they have a nice arcade inside for children to play in before (or even during) the game if they get "antsy". My kids love it when the Angels score a home run and the colored lights go off along with the huge water show!
Aaa Insurance
I joined AAA many years ago mainly for their emergency road service, which I have used several times. But, the added bonus is that I come into this office several times a year just to pick up maps and to ask for advice on planning my road trips. I find that if I go early to mid-day during the week, I don't have to wait in line at all and the employees are real helpful.
Bellisima Salon & Day Spa
Aaaaah! What a wonderful day I spent there for my "day of beauty". Massage (full body), facial, eyebrows, waxing, and a good skin sloughing. They even served me a delicious salad for lunch. I can't afford to do this every day, but once a year maybe --- I'll dream until the next appointment.....
Smith Park Pool
I take my kids here for swim team. The coaches are very dynamic and enthusiastic. Of all the swim meets we have attended in the area, this pool is by far the best organized as far as the food concessions, being on time, etc. It also helps to have the shade trees nearby in the park for the parents to sit under while the children are swimming.
Gymboree Play Programs
Just an overall fun experience. Good bonding with my 2-year old son. He was able to interact with the other kids and just loves the toys and "climbing" tools. The bubbles at the end with Gymbo the Clown is always a winner with the kids.
Thrifty Car Rental
Overall, it was a satisfactory experience. I ordered a mid-size car but they didn't have any on the lot the day I picked it up so they upgraded me to a full-size for the same price. So that was a nice surprise. There was quite a bit of mileage already on the car though, and a few stains on the driver's seat...
Rose Bowl Flea Market
This is the biggest flea market I've seen in the Southern California area. Well run and fun! You can't find new and used articles as well as a fun ambience. Recommend.
Stowell Learning Ctr
My son had problems with concentration in school and his grades were subsequently not up to par. Stowell diagnosed him with "auditory processing disorder" and he followed their course during a summer period. Although only two months is by no means enough to make a complete turnaround, I did see a remarkable improvement in his eagerness for learning and self confidence. Cost is quite expensive, but well worth it.
Brunswick Covina Bowl
Staff is very nice here. The prices are reasonable and sometimes they send out coupons for reduced rates (except you still need to pay for shoe rental). Cosmic bowling is great for teenagers, psychodelic lighting & rock & roll music while you bowl.
Funland
I didn't feel comfortable here. I felt that it was not very clean and some of the older kids that hang out here did not seem very "nice". I would not come back again.
