Seattle, WA Hotels 08/16/05: 'Well appointed'

one of my aunts flew in over the holidays and she was a guest at Hotel vintage park. I spent one night as an overnight guest and i found this to be a comfortable and well situated hotel. We spent an enjoyable evening playing cards in her room and one nice feature is that the walls are thick enough that you don't hear your neighbors. the carpets are luxurious and the beds were firm but not rigid. i remember that the staff was pleasant and helpful.

i brought in my watch for a repair to the strap and i was pleased as can be when the clerk told me he could fix it right away. I browsed around the shop and don't think I have ever seen a bigger display of timepieces anywhere. i am thinking of bringing in my gramps old pocket watch to see about repairing it for a special present for him. It is just sitting in the drawer gathering dust and I know it is special to him but he just never gets around to having it fixed.

I love retro and vintage and like to keep an eye on some of the fashion trends. At any rate I do my best to carry an eyecatching bag or purse. I purchased what I thought was the ultimate bohemian tapestry satchel here and this bag fell apart withing 3 weeks. the seams were weak and flimsy. To make matters worse the darn thing had cost me a pretty penny and i really had a case of buyer's regret after that experience.

I just love beading. I have been into it for about 10 years now and just think it all started with a simple little friendship bracelet. I am currently working on some beaded bookmarks which combine beadwork and fabric. You could spend the day admiring the fine beads at fusion. They really know how to display their goods too. i have noticed that some of these bead shops can be rather jumbled and hodge podge. I am so happy to have found this shop and I will be back again and again.

Seattle, WA Bike Shops 08/16/05: 'Great staff. Great Service.'

I brought my bike here after a little bang up with some rocks and uneven pavement. I am still just getting used to riding on these steep Seattle hills and I thought that my bike would be too expensive to bother repairing. I mangled the derailleur and my back rim. I am happy to say that R and E took care of my trusty bike and it is back out on the road. my repairs were well within my budget and i appreciate the speedy repair time frame and courteous and friendly staff!!

Kent, WA Restaurants 08/16/05: 'my brother orders his lunch here alot'

my brother has always had a huge appetite. He is a strapping fellow and stands over six and a half feet tall. He likes to satify his luchtime hunger with sandwiches from Little David's and he raves about how fresh everything tastes. He also says that they give you filling portions. My brother has told me that next time i am over in kent he is going to order me a sub . Sounds Yummy.

My gramps has always smoked a pipe as long as i can remember. He likes to get his tobacco from Stewart smoke Shop. His brand is a special tobacco blend from Canada
and gramps says stewart's makes sure it is fresh. According to gramps some tobacco shops don't store the goods properly and you get a dry and crumbly result.

Poulsbo, WA Appliances - Retail 08/16/05: 'unique way to spend the afternoon'

One of the women I work with invited me along to her son's birthday party which was held at dancing brush. This is such a neat idea. Everyone had a fantastic time and this is a true creative outlet. I have absolutely no artistic talent and I actually can say that I have a small ceramic piece that is quite attractive. Staff is fun and helpful and willing to offer advice. This is a memorable place to host a birthday party and now some of the folks at work are tossing around the idea of having a baby shower for my office manager there.

Seattle, WA Art Supplies - Seattle, WA Toys 08/15/05: 'Great Fun'

wow. This store can bring out the kid in anyone. i stopped in one day when i was looking for a get well present for my auntie. My auntie loves cats and i thought that she would just be tickled with a couple jigsaw puzzles featuring cats as cute as a button. You can't help but smile when you see the puzzle that has a tabby cat dressed in a fancy pinafore . This store is jam packed with the best toys and games and you will not want to ever leave! Did i mention that the staff is warm and welcoming?

Seattle, WA Misc. Foods Markets - Seattle, WA Coffee Shops and Diners - Seattle, WA Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops 08/15/05: 'Not what I expected'

A friend took me here when we were out shopping one day. I am not one who drinks alot of smoothies but i thought i would broaden my horizons and order something different. i was really disappointed because the smoothy seemed watery and not mixed right or something. The shop is certainly busy enough and it looks like there are lots of satisfied customers. I won't be returning any time soon.
