See's Candies

see's candy has always been one of my favorite places to go for good chocolate and other sweet things. the price can sometimes be a bit pricey but it actually is fairly decent. i recommend the toffee and chocolate lollipops....they're awesome

Hustler Hollywood

hustler is a really nice store. its clean open and very well lit. you don't have to worry about shady looking guys in trench coats walking around. the people are friendly and they even have a little coffe bar. its an up-beat place. i like it.

Gaslamp District

gaslamp quarter is the place to be if you want food, music, drinks, clothes, clubs or just general entertainment. it pretty much has something for everybody.

Godiva

godiva is a good chocolate place, unfortunately it is a bit pricey. expensive chocolate doesn't necessarily mean good chocolate, but with godiva you can count on their quality for their price. i recomend the chcolate covered strawberries. enjoy!!!

Levi's Store

well.....it ain't cheap, but it is a good quality brand. this store offers everything levis. it's a two story store that offers denim, denim, and more denim. though i do like levis jeans you could probably get them for a lower price at a department store. unless you want to see the store just 'see' it go ahead, but if you're planning to buy jeans i recomend you look elsewhere.

24 Hour Fitness

this is great. the gym is open 24 hours a day, which quite helpful when you have a busy schedule!!! they have a good variety of equipment and are decently priced considering the fact that they are always open. if can't find enough hours in the day to work out try doing it at night and do it here cuz they'll probably be open.

Ritz Camera & Image

ritz is decent but the selection is limited and the prices are a little high. you can however go there for your film developing needs. for me it seems cheaper than most other places i get my film developed.
if you're going to buy a camera i suggestyou go to fry's or best buy or something else like that.

Asti Ristorante

the food is decent but the prices are ridiculous and the service isn't exactly exceptional. the waiter kept looking at my date and rarely gave me any attention. when he introduced himself and asked if we wanted anything to drink he didn't look at me once. if you're going to eat there eat outside for the inside is far to noisey because the people are packed in there tightly. over all....my experience there was not a good one.

Borders

its a great place to go if you're walking around downtown. why? because parking sucks. but its a nice, well lit, and large borders.
they have a large selection of books, magazines and other publications and if you can't find it there you can order it. the only unfortunate thing area that its located in seems a little shady.

Ralphs

well, ralph's is pretty much like most grocery stores. if you have a club card you can save a decent amount of money. its location makes it convenient for downtown shoppers, especially if you're at horton plaza and just remembered that you needed to go grocery shopping.
