I decided to try Tangles because of its proximity to my place of work. I was very happy with my haircut and have made this my place.
Ruth takes care of my hair and lets me know what she thinks I should do with it.
Prices are reasonable and I've never had a problem getting an appointment.
I pity the fool who doesn't try Tangles! (sorry for stealing your line Mr. T)
You must worship the Spuderito...and when your soul has been deemed worthy, you can graduate to the next level...the Spuderito with Meat.
MMMMM....imagine the french fries, taco meat, cheese and hot sauce all wrapped in the best tortillas I have ever tasted.
Separate, these ingredients are insignificant, but together this burrito owns you.
Rick's also has great burgers and shakes...try the French Burger.
PROS: Nourishing and Hearty
CONS: Nary a One
It took forever to get seated (on a night where they were not busy) and then it took longer to get served.
I may have halfway forgiven the poor service if the food was any good, but the fajitas and margaritas were mediocre at best.
I'm always skeptical of BBQ places in CA, so I was wary when I tried the Barn Burner. I wasn't dissappointed. The meat is great and the sauce is what really sealed the deal for me. They have good sides and a cool "Texas BBQ Joint" atmosphere...including cane sugar Dr. Pepper in glass bottles!
A little pricey, but you get big portions.
Inaara Medspa offers a laundry list of beauty and day spa treatments... I opted for a massage. The therapist worked on my back and shoulders with great success. He spoke to me about why my shoulders were in knots and what I could do to keep stress out of them. I left feeling like my muscles were a clean slate ready to face the weekend! Pretty amazing to find out how much stress we carry and how it feels when it is released.
The facility was very clean and the entire staff was attentive and friendly. This is one of the newer medspas in Pasadena and I would recommend them
Like most Mongolian BBQ places, you can choose your meats, veggies, etc., put them in a bowl and have them grilled up. I think Fire Hut leaps ahead of the competition with their delicious sauces and fantastic appetizers. The crab rangoon is awesome and so are the egg rolls. Compliment your spicy Fire Hut bowl with an ice cold Kirin and you night will be complete.
If you are passing through La Grange, you must stop off and grab some kolaches and pigs in the blanket at Weikel's. I recommend the cheese kolache and and the jalepeno cheese and sausage pig in the blanket. These traditional Czech pastries are truly outstanding and La Grange definitely knows how to do Czech food right. You can get the baked goods at Weikel's in small or large quantities, there is also a convenience store and gas station for those folks passing through.
There is nothing like a hometown butcher getting your cut of beef just right. At Prause's Meat Market in beautiful downtown La Grange you get just that. The store has been around since the 1800's and when you go in you will still probably be helped by someone named Prause. Besides the selection of beef, chicken and pork cuts, they also serve BBQ fresh out of their pits. Prices and service are great.
Set above the Colorado River outside of La Grange, this state park is home to some great pieces of Texas history. You can tour the beautiful nature walk which includes remnants of the Kriesche Brewery, one of the first in Texas. The park is great for family outings as well as large group events. If you are in the La Grange area, it is worth a visit.
Enter The Busy B and you will leave with a perfect gift for anyone in your family for any occasion. This place has some really unique products that you won't find anywhere else, but they also carry gift mainstays like candles and picture frames.
Everything can be beautifully wrapped and ready to go within minutes. The store is worth checking out even if you are just browsing.
