Charles & Charles Inc
This antique store is a goldmine of unusual furniture. Although I recommend doing extensive research or having someone who knows the worth of objects. Some of the items can be overpriced but in general this store is a must for the interior designer.
City Lights Lighting Showroom
The sconces they have in their store are very beautiful anad artistic. The glass they use if durible although the effect looks delicate. I recommend looking at their choices on-line.
College Of Dupage
Excellent standing in the junior college world. Good variety of courses avaiable from the associate degree, pre-baccalaureate level, or for one's personal edification. Good support services to help direct its students. Students transfer well into higher levels of education.
Barnes & Noble Booksellers
Has good variety of selections as well as types to select from. Great having inhouse coffee and pastries. Like the ability to check out books at the coffee counter. Kids section exellent, and even separate section for teens.
Barnes & Noble Booksellers
Friendly atmosphere. Condusive to reading . Always helpful. Smaller than some stores, but still maintain a good variety of selections. Good access to parking.
PROS:
CONS: Miss the inhouse coffee at this site.
The Discovery Channel
I go tot he Discovery Store every Christmas to find the perfect gift for my neices and nephews. The educational toys are fun to play with and unusual. You never have to worry about getting the children a gift someone else has given. The things Discovery thinks of makes me want to be a child again.
Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers
We purchased our weekend getaway thru Hotwire.com but this hotel is affordable if you go thru their website. The allowed us to change rooms to get a higher view (and it was wonderful). The beds are extremely comfortable (I believe some of our friends searched high and low to purchase the same kind of beds for their homes) and the staff were very nice and accommodating. We will stay there again the next time we go.
Degerberg Academy-Martial Arts
In the beginning I started taking classes at Degerberg to get in shape because other forms of exercise eventually bored me. The variety of martial arts, wrestling, and boxing was challenging, stimulating, and increased my focus in and outside class. In addition all of the teachers (and students for that matter) treated everyone with respect.
PROS: I strongly recommend this academy
CONS:
The Rag Factory Incorporated
This store makes Urban Outfitters a bargain. Although some of the clothes are original enough designs, it's hard to get past the idea of paying $50.00 for a t-shirt. Enjoy at your own risk.
Papyrus
This store has everything you need to give a present that looks like a lot of time and consideration went into it (really nice when you don't have the time but do have the consideration). You would be surprised at the prices too. Although a chain and located in most malls the cards and wrapping paper is affordable.
