This is a place right on Sunrise highway that is clean and runs the business well. It's nothing fancy and has been around for years.
It's right next to a TGI Fridays for meals and they also serve a continental breakfast in a small room everyday. It's nothing special but it does start the day.
The rooms are OK but more important clean. This is the local place where we have out of town guests stay if they want to be close by us. They do have an outdoor pool that is open in the summer.
PROS: Good location and decent prices.
CONS: Not the newest in ammenities.
For one of the better steaks you will ever have, this is a place to go.
I don't particularly like that it's in the bottom of an office building and the view is of a parking lot and a busy road, but the jungle decor is quite interesting.
I suggest you order a steak that comes on a sizzling hot plate drowning in butter. The prices are high at about $35 for the entre. This is an upper class steak house.
PROS: Great steak
CONS: Poor location
This place in Merrick is known for its evening lines and good food. We have waited with those lightup buzzer things many times. Don't expect the line to be any shorter than what they tell you.
This is a busy place but they do maitani good food quality. I like their menu and so do all my kids.
I also like that they have a good draft beer selection.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Always long lines
This place gives the best value for food on all of Long Island.
This is our family place of choice after celebratring some kind of mark or another. Though the Outback may gbe a small notch better in their menu choices, this food is good and the prices are VERY good, especially of you are getting the farmers salad bar.
The place, does get a bit busy but they really try and take care of each customer like they are special.
This place is a find for families on a budget.
PROS: Good prices and an excellent salad bar.
Now this is a fun place. They have live music of Mariachi bands a number of times a week. Call for details. they also hace a live "lore shore" on some weekend nights.
This is a great time to have a party. the atmosphere is electric. We have had many family parties and such here. We have gone out woith other couples and large groups.
Don't be spending too much time looking at prices. just let loose and party!
The food is good, not great. the drinks are good and high priced. The atmosphere is fun, fun, fun!
PROS: It's a great place to party!
CONS: Food is so so.
Try their sampler Margaritas. This is good styuff.
We happen to like the atmosphere and food at this place. Do expect lines in the evening. This place is hopping. There is one main room and a couple of smaller rooms. We like the smaller one for a more intimate feeling, though that is hard to find in such a busy place.
The pace is fast and the Mexican foor is good.
PROS: good drinks
CONS: but they are expensive
This is a place that may be a bit pricey but I have to give very high marks for their classy atmosphere.
One thing I like about this place is that they do serve family platters so if you have perhaps six or seven people you can order three of four plates of diiferent offerings and share it.
Believe me, you will ordering more than you really need. they are generous in their offernings and the food is outstanding.
PROS: Fine and elegant atmosphere, Valet parking
CONS: Busy weekends.
This place is a standout for that old time feel of an Italian restaurant before all these gourmet type places started coming in.
Good parmigian plates served by a friendly waitstaff make this a good place to go at any time of year.
They also have some good personal pizzas too.
Being close to theNassua County Collisium and right next to Eisenhour park make this a good destiantion before or after your event.
The owners, the Borrelli family have been operating this place for a long time and know how to do it right.
I'm getting hungry.
PROS: Family friendly
We have been going to this particualr Friendly restaurant for years and have went through many management teams. Some ran the place well and sometimes they didn't.
It was always the ice cream that brought us back for special times after awards at school or the like.
Over the last few years we started going their a bit more for the meals. they were good but recently they changed their menu again and when we were disappointed that they also changed how they presented particular dishes , wer were told we should look at the menu more closely.
The prices are also going up and up and we have decided that for those prices we may as well go to a real restaurnat.
PROS: Nice enough atmosphere.
CONS: Long lines and high prices.
I was stunned to find this place under the heading of Gourmet shop. Well not everyone has Slurpies in three flavours. They even have Coke Brand right from the machine.
You can get their cheese dogs and sausages too. Actually I like them.
7-Eleven does offer some good coffee and additives for them. I do happen to stop by every morning for a cupa and a buttered roll.
Are they gourmet Rolls? No, but they are good and I'll have to start eating less of them if I intend to lose a few pounds.
7-Elven, Gourmet , NO, convienient, Yes.
PROS: We have this one and another close by my home.
CONS: No Gourmet.
